I still prefer Adley but Bench has been a good backup since I got him and I normally can't hit with him at all.
I was using Adley for a long time because I like to have as many switch hitters as possible but I couldn't find any consistency with him. I'm already carrying Jimmy Rollins who I am historically bad with but won't take him out for obvious reasons lol So I have to find a decent catcher at this point figured I'd give Bench a try.

BiggioThese are all good options. JT Realmuto is still a good option too. He hits above his attributes and has great defense and speed.

Bench was ok. I just could not get his bat going and runners were still stealing bases on him.. I have Foxx right now with Pudge on the bench for defense and more speed on the bases. Foxx does fine with pitches in the dirt compared to last year but he has a rag arm. But I figured if they are going to steal on bench I might as well put a better bat in the lineup. If you can stand his slow speed Posey is a nice option. Posey is technically the best catcher according to true overall. But Foxx is a top 10 player in the game. Basically all the true catchers have some flaw wether it is speed, defense or lack of power.

I’ve been doing a Schwarber/
Salvy platoon and love it. They each do damage vs opposite hand.I realize the defense isn’t elite, but I can’t remember the last time I lost a game because of my catcher’s defense. I do however lose plenty of games where I don’t score enough runs.

I can’t hit with Bench either. But I kill it with piazza. Some people hate his swing. Was hoping Bench could be better. Just a little bit.

I hit well with the early year Piazza can’t hit with 99 piazza oddly ...

FS Kelbert Ruiz is actually a very good card & option to use for a Cacther. Has a very good swing & as well is a switch hitter. His attributes are not as high as the other Catchers already mentioned ealier in here, but please do not let those lower attributes fool you. FS Kelbert Ruiz has produced more for me then all the other 95+ Diamond Cacthers in this game so far this year.

At the end of the day, find the one who's swing you love best. At the end of the day people are still gonna steal on you no matter how good the defense, so for the C position I think offense should be the concern.
