What pitcher tells their manager they are fatigued when they are two wins away from the world series? I thought this dude was a baller or do they call them "gamers"? What happened to Max the gamer? You get a little fatigued and you just quit? I just don't recall other players doing this. If they have in the past please enlighten me.

They better not re-sign him. I can't imagine some pitchers of Dodgers past pulling this like Koufax, Fernando, bulldog, and Kershaw.

He would have pitched, but they decided Buehler was a better fit arm condition wise.

Scherzer was on full rest. Buehler pitched on short rest because Scherzer said he was "fatigued". That's no "gamer" IMO.

I get it, but he's 37. As a Dodgers fan I would be angry, but I don't see a massive problem as a Cubs fan. But I understand where you're coming from

The guy’s been doing this for a long time and knows when he feels right and when he doesn’t. I’m going to trust that when he says something’s off, something is actually off.

How would you have felt if he said he was fatigued and they still started him and he got shelled? Would you be dissing him for saying he was fatigued or the manager who ignored him and started him anyway?

I sure thought I heard arm fatigue or what they call in baseball "dead arm" That isnt like "being tired" or anything like that. Thats like going to the gym and getting in a bunch of reps and trying to do something else with those same muscles later. It isnt gonna work and it will hurt your team. He could have went out there and and gave up 6 runs in 3 innings or something but how would that help? Not like it would have mattered anyway, his team didnt score any runs to help out. They didnt need a gutty pitching performance they needed the bats to show up. The Braves were pretty good at preventing that all playoffs.

You're right. Max is terrible. Hopefully the dodgers dont resign him. It's all his fault the dodgers lost lol.

As much as I dislike the guy as a Mets fan for all the times he killed us the Dodgers don't make the playoffs without the Trea Turner/Max Scherzer deal.
