Ugh. Only 22 more years until retirement.
You'll get there before you know it. I spent the last 6 months of my employment with a countdown calendar at my cubicle. Nobody thought I was serious until I didn't show up for work on my first day of retirement...that was funny.
Once I hit 35 years, it’s day to day. If someone ticks me off enough, I’m filing out the paperwork to retire that day and do a Scarface quitting his job in Half Baked.
I remember the Jim Breuer quitting scene in Half Baked. I can’t think of Scarface’s, but will have to check it out.

I'm not retired. But I am up there in age & easily older then probably 80% of MLBTS players. I'm hitting 51yo this year. Been playing video games going back to the Quarter Arcades & the Atari 2600. Played on every system since then (with exception of PS5 & Xbox Series X ... still waiting for the price to drop down much more). I am 1 of those that never outgrew playing video games. I am a true gamer.
So do NOT feel weird or alone. There are more like us out there. However within the minority. LOL
I am in your camp, turned 56 this year. Still remember playing Atari 2600 baseball, so crude yet exciting to play at the time. The first real baseball game I owned was on the C64, then I was hooked..
Star League Baseball?
Hardball?
Earl Weaver?Which one?
Hardball for me - on the Commodore AMIGA 1000. Still remember the graphics which were amazing at the time..

I’m retired, 59 and play each current version almost daily throughout the year. Be nice to have some matchups between some of us ‘seniors’ that play.

My favorite in the arcades was Robotron 2084. Las Vegas has an arcade that still has it.

Not retired yet but not a young chicken.
There's an older guy on twitch - not yet retired - but probably late 50s that streams and he's one of the few guys I follow.
I'm going to have to follow him. I just started streaming...not on a regular basis yet, though.

At 68, I wonder if I'm the oldest person playing this game. Yes, retired. Used to love to play the Strat O Matic board game. For me this game is Strat O Matic brought to life. Offline only for me.

I'm 62 and since MLB the show 21 came out on xbox I dropped Madden and went to the show. I'm enjoying it! I've learned a lot and improved quite a bit this summer. Looking forward to MLB 22 as I kinda know what to expect as far as saving cards and things but it is sure nice not having to pay money for a good team!
This is awesome. Maybe we should start an "Old Guys Rule" server on Discord.

Me! I’m retired and play daily. I do all of the offline missions and try to play online, but my eyes and reaction time isn’t quite so good.
I love the game and content tho!
I'm right there with you! I'm am on daily too. I don't try and play online, though, unless I know the person...like my kids.

Oh one more thing being old and playing the youngster online when they message you after hitting a walk off against you telling you to get off their field. You calmly message back saying gg you really tagged that one. I guess I should have went to the bullpen instead of trying to get one more batter out of this 62 year old arm lol. They usually message back saying WoW GG.

I'm only a year ahead of you. I'd definitely play someone close to my age online. I've done it before and they wiped the floor with me, but I didn't have to worry about them freezing the game because they didn't like what was going on.

Quit playing or quit working? I remember when I was 52 and said I would work until I dropped dead at my desk. Then I retired when it came time and boy am I glad I did!

Its really too bad our league fizzled out so quick. That was the sole purpose of me getting the game this year. Maybe most of the guys didn't like playing on HOF but heck if can go 6-4 at my age on that level, so can the 40 year olds. In any event we have some good people on our Discord channel.

I think it was a combination of things. The grind, schedules, and playing on HOF. Regardless, there are some great players on our Discord channel!
