I love this, Eddie Rosario has been my favorite player for 6 years, been waiting for him to get some credit
I almsot has his Topps Now to P5We get it, your favorite player is a dude with a career 105 wRC+ lmao
The league average wRC+ sits at 100
I aint like other people who bandwagon over tatis, trout, acuna etc. i have liked Rosario since 2015, and so what i want to say sum about him have a good postseason (.588 average, 10 hits, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs), yo team aint even in the playoffsYeah, he’s been 5% better than league average for his career. That’s not exactly considered good lmao. Just a really strange choice for a favorite player unless you have some deep personal connection to him.
played for Minnesota, I lived in Minnesota for 8 years, when i went to my 1st baseball game, it was also his major league debut, and him and I played catch on the field, hung out a bit, then he got traded to the indians, and now he is on the braves, so now the braves are my 2nd favorite team

His topps now is already beast. They are gonna have to make hi[censored]ting attributes almost perfect. Also his speed needs to be upgraded. He’s a lot faster than given credit
Will they give him two high ranked cards as such?
Probably, but hopefully not.

Nothing against him, just would rather have someone else without a 98 get a high card instead. Plus only having 47 speed means he’d be just a bench bat for most people, and his 98 already fills that role perfectly.
They’ll probably still give him a 99 with like 120-125 contact and power against both sides though.
This is why they need to chill with giving out 90+ Topps Now cards to everyone lol. I know they could have never predicted this type of performance but this is the kind of problem that is caused by just senselessly pumping out 90+ cards every week.

What gives motivation for anyone to do the topps now moments if they are getting 89 overall cards in September? It would be nothing more than a waste of time, which it basically already is anyway.
For the only reason most people do the TN moments... PotM collection, or selling to those that are doing the PotM.

It can be argued both ways. If they’re already collection fodder and theme team fillers that few people use, why do they need to be such high overalls? What’s the harm in making them lower if nobody is going to use them anyway?

I can definitely agree with that. We don't need the unnecessary get 10 strikeouts with Degrom or Scherzer that are tacked on every week just to make you take longer

It at least gives people the option to use them. I know with the tournament restrictions people love that Jarren Duran card. My main point is there are far less people that have a problem with the topps now cards ratings than ones that just don't care either way. I think TA3 and the no-hitter cards were the problem this year, not topps now and future stars

The benefit in making them lower is so that they can still get higher rated cards later in the season, even though they had a TN card. Talking about players like Polanco for finest, or Rosario for PS. They hamstrung themselves with going overboard on the TN ratings so that it becomes more difficult to give them an even higher rating at the end of the year.

As a Braves fan, he was kinda a thrown in at the deadline, since he was hurt and we gave up nothing for him. But he has been amazing for us. He had an OPS over .900 in the regular season for us (albeit in a small sample size) and has gone off in the playoffs. All 4 of the outfielders we traded for have been amazing. The move I was most excited about was Rich Rod from the Pirates, and he pitched so bad in September he is not even on our post season roster.

This is why they need to chill with giving out 90+ Topps Now cards to everyone lol. I know they could have never predicted this type of performance but this is the kind of problem that is caused by just senselessly pumping out 90+ cards every week.

I dont think his Topps Now was undeserving, its just now what do you do?, do you give him a 99 PS card? Or do you say hes already got a high card and pick someone else who is probably less deserving?.
i do agree with you when you said they shoud chill next year with these topps now, but all these topps now that they give out, its helps for collections, either way, they should chill with them, they could make a different type of card for once.
Can still give Topps Now cards, theres just no need to give out 94+ cards because the guy took two shi*’s that day.
Here's the thing though, if you cap the Topps now cards(and monthly as a result), you might as well get rid of them completely. The topps now cards already don't see much use by almost anybody, and they are juiced to the extreme. What gives motivation for anyone to do the topps now moments if they are getting 89 overall cards in September? It would be nothing more than a waste of time, which it basically already is anyway.
Even if they were lower overalls they’d still be useful for a lot of theme teams or fans of that specific player, or for people that just like collecting as many cards as possible. Some would still be really good for BR and events too.
Thats basically all they are used for now even with them being overly juiced though is the thing. They are already collection fodder and for theme teams as is, why make the cards worse? To satisfy a few people who think they aren't "deserving" of that rating? They are fine IMO. If we only give attributes to cards of players that 100% deserve those attributes, the lineup variety would be worse than it is now, which is still not very diverse anyway.
If line up’s aren’t diverse this year, they never will be and thats on the community. I would be happy if they just reduced the number of Topps Now moments.
Facts. They are throwing out usable high diamond cards left and right. I said it plenty before, this community decides what cards are the "best" and that's what everyone puts in their lineup. They could release 5 cards with identical attributes but different stances/animations, and the community would still come to a conclusion on what is the best card out of those, and that's all everyone would use.

Me too! So sad the Twins decided to save money this year by not paying him. He really wasn't replaced in the lineup.

I aint like other people who bandwagon over tatis, trout, acuna etc. i have liked Rosario since 2015, and so what i want to say sum about him have a good postseason (.588 average, 10 hits, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs), yo team aint even in the playoffsYeah, he’s been 5% better than league average for his career. That’s not exactly considered good lmao. Just a really strange choice for a favorite player unless you have some deep personal connection to him.
played for Minnesota, I lived in Minnesota for 8 years, when i went to my 1st baseball game, it was also his major league debut, and him and I played catch on the field, hung out a bit, then he got traded to the indians, and now he is on the braves, so now the braves are my 2nd favorite team
As a Braves fan, he was kinda a thrown in at the deadline, since he was hurt and we gave up nothing for him. But he has been amazing for us. He had an OPS over .900 in the regular season for us (albeit in a small sample size) and has gone off in the playoffs. All 4 of the outfielders we traded for have been amazing. The move I was most excited about was Rich Rod from the Pirates, and he pitched so bad in September he is not even on our post season roster.
If Jackson didn't gave up that Hr to Belli, then we would have swept the dodgers

I like the idea of Topps now having a few high diamond cards. For instance, I think we all love the Yasmani Grandal. But because he is one of many great Topps, his card doesn't shine as much. Same with the Field of Dreams Tim Anderson who had his own set of moments (not at all hard, but a player worthy of a 99 given his past few years and the really cool Field of Dreams walk off moment) so for the weekly Topps, I agree there should be some type of cap or at least a hierarchy and then a handful of high diamonds could have their own set of moments to help them stand apart.

His topps now is already beast. They are gonna have to make hi[censored]ting attributes almost perfect. Also his speed needs to be upgraded. He’s a lot faster than given credit

Nothing against him, just would rather have someone else without a 98 get a high card instead. Plus only having 47 speed means he’d be just a bench bat for most people, and his 98 already fills that role perfectly.
They’ll probably still give him a 99 with like 120-125 contact and power against both sides though.

It can be argued both ways. If they’re already collection fodder and theme team fillers that few people use, why do they need to be such high overalls? What’s the harm in making them lower if nobody is going to use them anyway?
The benefit in making them lower is so that they can still get higher rated cards later in the season, even though they had a TN card. Talking about players like Polanco for finest, or Rosario for PS. They hamstrung themselves with going overboard on the TN ratings so that it becomes more difficult to give them an even higher rating at the end of the year.
