So, what is this NLCS Eddie Rosario gonna look like?
2nd 4 hit game of the series.
Hes going to be a two way card, outlier 1 and 2 on the sinker and fastball, both touching 105, hitting stats will be 125 across the board and first ever card with 125 fielding and speed. Just kidding, but based on how many nobody’s got a 90+ card this year just for showing up, multiple 4 hit games will probably have maxxed out hitting stats.

Nothing against him, just would rather have someone else without a 98 get a high card instead for the sake of variety. Plus only having 47 speed means he’d be just a bench bat for most people, and his 98 already fills that role with 125/115 con/pwr vs rhp.
They’ll probably still give him a 99 with like 120-125 contact and power against both sides though.

This is why they need to chill with giving out 90+ Topps Now cards to everyone lol. I know they could have never predicted this type of performance but this is the kind of problem that is caused by just senselessly pumping out 90+ cards every week.

I agree. Topps Now should be capped at like 90-92 ovr, that way there’s still enough room for improvement if the player does something bigger later to earn a better card. I feel the same way about all the 2021 All Star TA cards too. I actually believe they didn’t plan on immediately going to 99 for the Wild Card program, but Chris Taylor doing what he did forced them to have to make a card better than his 97, which then made them scale up the rest of the cards to go with it.

As someone said, for collections, if they are tied to a collection item I want, for example Mookie then i’ll do them. I’ve also got a line up of strictly Topps Now cards for the POTM missions, I don’t mind Topps Now, I just think they over did it this year.

Even if they were lower overalls they’d still be useful for a lot of theme teams or fans of that specific player, or for people that just like collecting as many cards as possible. Some would still be really good for BR and events too.

I aint like other people who bandwagon over tatis, trout, acuna etc. i have liked Rosario since 2015, and so what i want to say sum about him have a good postseason (.588 average, 10 hits, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs), yo team aint even in the playoffs -

I aint like other people who bandwagon over tatis, trout, acuna etc. i have liked Rosario since 2015, and so what i want to say sum about him have a good postseason (.588 average, 10 hits, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs), yo team aint even in the playoffsYeah, he’s been 5% better than league average for his career. That’s not exactly considered good lmao. Just a really strange choice for a favorite player unless you have some deep personal connection to him.

To satisfy a few people who think they aren't "deserving" of that rating? They are fine IMO. If we only give attributes to cards of players that 100% deserve those attributes, the lineup variety would be worse than it is now, which is still not very diverse anyway.
