Molina xbh and HR
-
Well, I can't seem to get the ball past the infield with his rookie card and I'm sure the home run won't come easy.
Any tips on whether to use power, contact or just x (ps)? Where to direct the PCI? I also have always enjoyed using fish eye because I have a better vantage point of the whole field and can see my hitter better, and the graphics look cooler after a few rips of SoCal Greenery. Is strike zone really much better?
Thanks. Please don't rip me to shreds all at once.

The XBH I can’t do. I’ve left it for now.
If I get a reward for completing either of the evolutions then I’ll grind it then
-
For these kind of moments, usually directional hitting is the way to go. If you're using zone, I'd power swing for sure.

Pretty sure they'll both go towards a Collection for XP in the 8th Inning.

They've been confirmed for 8th Inning collection rewards. I switched to strike zone, used power and got it done. Then I played with him on Rookie at shippet and got 3 doubles to complete the missions. All the sudden he was a line drive hitter where in the rookie moments he just popped out. Interesting

This may be something everybody knows, but I just discovered it.
When you have a mission like "HR with C" (in this case, Molina evolution mission), fastest way to do this is to make a new team with only catchers. I played a Conquest game and had 4 homers in 3 innings. Quick! So, the point here: you need homers with catchers, even if they play secondary position or out of position.

If you've been playing since 2018 (and the ultra-grinds that year contained), you know this by heart but it's a good refresher for everyone else.

I got them done just last night with normal swings but they took a while.
The extra base hit took me a while but I eventually got a perfect/perfect that found a gap. It does not help that the card only has 41 speed.
The HR is done with the Gold Glove card so at least he has 85 power vs lefties with that card.

Thanks, I ended up skipping the HR moment, I played an extra innings game on rookie at shippet with all catchers and Molinas rookie card. The defense was a bit of an adventure but as soon as I got the 3 HRs I switched most of the out of position guys with bench players.
Magically Molina became a doubles monster. 3 in 1 game. I realize none of this is an accomplishment...a blind can rake on rookie at Shippet but if anyone is looking for an easy way to knock out the missions while earning quadruple xp, that's a good way to do it. I also finished the 7th inning.

RF: G CarterThe mission says "HR with Catchers", but they can play any position. When "out of position", they are poor defenders, but still great sluggers. So, my team had 8 catchers and a pitcher. More ABs with Cs, easier to knock some dingers.
And no, this is my first time playing The Show, since I'm on XBox. -
Or you load a team with Cs, and play Rockies away at Coors and quit after the half inning!

The fact that bronze Tony Wolters hit two of my home runs with regular swing is disturbing to me

Finally getting around to the Molina program, I used Molina in a small park for “vs CPU” games; giving him 4 AB’s was easier than 1 AB during conquest. It may take a few games but I finally got the XBH’s from a C who is slow and has little power.

Yep, Schwarber, Grandal, Rutschman; the HR’s with a C got done pretty quickly for me. It was was the XBH mission that drove me nuts.
