I hit WS after 12 wins. I sold Wagner….was that dumb? He will come down eventually right? I’d like him in the pen.

They gave him outlier I see….

I guess I’ll hold him at 30 wins if he is still that high.

I need him for my Phillies team and I’m sitting on 2 mil but there’s no way I would ever buy anyone for a mil

Good on you, it’s borderline ridiculous. I got roughly 13M laying around but I’ll get him before getting a bid through just by making WS

Dang im jealous of that cash stack you have. I only have around 500k myself and struggling to figure out what to buy to better my team. Any tips to get more stubs that dont include getting better?

Me too. I had recent pack luck and pulled Yelich for the 2nd time which put me over 1mil for the first time. Sold some dupes, was able to buy Gehrig for 982k.

I waited over six months to get Wagner last year with my 1 million order. This year it was about four days. At this point in the year stubs have very little value to me so overpaying is worth not waiting.

So there is a good chance he keeps his value based on what you are saying…I didn’t play last year. I guess I will have to take and keep him at 30 wins. Kind of wish I didn’t sell the one I just got.

I got Wagner this morning. Genuine question here: what might be the reason(s) people sell Wagner at this point?

Get it back for cheaper in a week or two

Makes sense. I just figured the guys who are earning Wags probably have plenty of stubs.

I’m the prime example of why it isn’t a thing. I have every single card in the game and roughly 10M stubs and wasn't even tempted to put in a bid

You just want to get more and more lol

doesnt the stubs max out at 5 million.

When you get close to 5 million in your balance you put in buy orders well below what a card will sell for. For example stashing 250k bids on Bellinger will allow you to earn unlimited stubs.

Really good players are making WS AND winning 30 games, and can then sell their duplicate Wagner...

I don't have the skill nor tone to do either, so my 1000000 stub order is about 100th in line right now.

100%. Sell high, buy back low.

    Thinking time value of stubs

It all depends upon the current interest rate.

If there are any accountants on this thread, I’m pretty sure that is the most hilarious thing you’ll see on the forum all year.

It’s legit. No “interest rate” per se, but the time value is the oportunity cost from the amount you could be earning from those stubs by either (a) flipping cards on the market or (b) investing them in appreciating assets (e.g. LS cards to go diamond or high value RS cards with shrinking supply/that will no longer be available other than the market).
