Feels really, really good. The accomplishment is definitely worth the sweaty games and stress from toxic players and the game itself failing you.
For you older guys, I’m turning 39 this month and this is my 2nd year playing the game. You can do it . Having a high refresh/hz monitor is key and just getting your swing timing down. Attack the ball.
Lastly, just want to thank (::cue oscar music ushering me off stage::) all the posters on this board. Grateful for everyone taking the time out of their busy lives to contribute to making the game and all players in the community better.
Next up BR 12-0 here I come.
Just played with it and he moves like molasses. Literally two balls in a row that would have been outs with Trout or Jasson out there were doubles.
Devers otoh be raking and playing a solid hot corner.
How in the world can you rationalize this loser not taking the high road and quitting?
You guys are just as bad for supporting this type of behavior.
Always be ready for a bunt when runner is in scoring position. Even if a power hitter is at the plate.
Congrats my man cheers to the old men in WS!
Following on my previous thread — we should start a league for all the old timers. Cutoff age what 35?

Let me throw some personal knowledge your way I got a new Financial Advisor at my job who works with me. Dude legit would work 17 hours a day if his wife let him. But he’s loaded. I recently turned him on to the show and he calls me one night. He’s pissed. He goes “ how am I suppose to be competitive with these cards against these god squad guys”? I told him about buying stubs and he couldn’t believe it cause in Madden you can’t do this. So the guy drops hundreds of dollars so he can field, in his eyes, a competitive team. Time is his nemesis so he just buys what we grind. He made me realize why some ppl do it

^^^THIS. Not everyone has the time to grind, and for those who have susbtantial income (whose time is much more valuable), spending money on stubs is waaaay more cost/time effective than spending time to grind.
Pitched in college. GO BLUE

Agree to disagree. One of my best pitchers. Just have to learn to tunnel his stuff.

It’s legit. No “interest rate” per se, but the time value is the oportunity cost from the amount you could be earning from those stubs by either (a) flipping cards on the market or (b) investing them in appreciating assets (e.g. LS cards to go diamond or high value RS cards with shrinking supply/that will no longer be available other than the market).
My guess is O’Neill will get a POM card. More likely that Arrenado or even Goldy get Finest. I think Arenado finest is the most likely.
Agree O’Neill def deserves a card. I’ll take both though!
Turner and Soriano
I got that glitch in a previous Showdown. Was really weird.
Im in the same boat on Franco and also Lindor. That Honus speed though (I like to run).
Mantle, Thomas, Feller, Adley, Gonzo.
Honus is good, but essentially same as Jackie? More positionality probably makes better.
I loved Maddux last year, mixed results so far, but only on AS level in Events.
Have been using Big Frank in Showdown and he absolutely rakes. Gonna be a hard decision b/w him and Vlad Jr.
