I really HATE Future Star Bosses

Cards that have no basis in reality. Meanwhile, there are a lot of legends and current players who have actually earned their right to have high diamond cards still MIA.
Do those players (think 99 Mays, 99 Griffey Jr, 99 Pujols, 99 Trout, 99 Mantle, etc) draw enough players back after the season is over to warrant waiting until after the player base drops off? Do we really need 2 diamond and 1 gold Wander Franco cards when players like Goldschmidt, Posey, Freeman, Molina and many other deserving players only have a single live series card?

7th inning is trash
-
Do really think the guys you mentioned AREN'T getting cards between now and November?

Aaron isn't trash but they didn't even attempt to make it a tough choice. Over 90% of the people in the twitch chat voted that they were taking Aaron.

I know that pretty much every player I mentioned will get boosted cards. What I am asking is whether it will be too late in the game cycle for the majority of those playing the game to care? What I am asking is whether these fictional cards belong as a inning Boss with so many worthy legends and current players?
-
I hate Future anything in this game. They have never proven themselves in the Big Leagues.

SDS has a pool of players to work with. They have a couple options. They either release Future Stars early in the cycle with diluted stats and people complain that the cards are unusable come month 3 of the game cycle and complain about the lack of legends in game or they release them late and people complain that legends got released too late. If SDS slow rolls content they can release with stats people want, but then people complain that the content isn't stronger. SDS is kind of in a no win from that perspective.

I say next year release all the big names in June. That way us players that actually enjoy using different cards can do so without seeing these complaints literally everywhere. I'm more excited for Torkelson more than any other card released so far this year. Why? Because I'm a tigers fan and he is the future face of this franchise. The successor to Miggy. I understand future stars hate when guys like Edward Cabrera have dominant cards. I don't understand future stars hate when the top 5 prospects in baseball get cards. No one hated the Acuna, Benentendi, Moncada cards way back when. This won't be a problem when Tork gets called up and leads the team to the playoffs next year. Just let it go. Shouldn't their goal as a business be to keep people playing all year? If Griffey, Mays, Pujols, and Trout were all out already this game would be an absolute ghost town and the playoffs haven't even begun.

People just like to complain. It isn’t any worse than giving juiced up TN call-up cards for a guy that hit his first HR
Its a fantasy game with made up stats. You want realism? Go play online ranked

I agree that no matter what they do people will complain. And I realize that I am complaining but I am not complaining about card ratings for legends and established stars. I have no problem with Gwynn being a boss in spite of the fact that very few will choose him over Aaron. I have a problem with a Future Stars player who has never had an at bat in the majors having an end game card that is arguably better than any other 3B not named Chipper.

At least the Topps Now players have done something in MLB, even if the cards are juiced beyond belief.
-
SDS should go the 7-Inning game route and make this the last Inning Program 🤪
Ending with a FS boss, lol. -

Would you have made this thread if a Cardinal FS was a 99 overall boss? Honest question.
Lars Nootbar has a 97 overall card because he hit a single that one time.
Where's the line?

That one lady was complaining there were no Tiger bosses the other day and magically there is a future star Tiger boss haha.

Very interesting, or just coincidence?

Most of these cards have no basis in reality. It's not just the future stars. If the attributes of the new Hank Aaron boss were an accurate reflection of how good he was, then he'd have a lifetime batting average of at least .700 or .800 with twice as many hits and homeruns as he really does. It's just a game. Lighten up lol.

Hey if threads get players, I’ll continue to post for the 98 finest brad hand.
-
They are limited in being realistic with 99 being the top rating, when a realistic Joe Carter card would easily be rated 192.
