I would not say no to a new Dylan Carlson Topps Now card because he got one early in the year when the Topps Now cards were golds. Dylan Carlson's first Topps Now card was for hitting a Grand Slam and was an 82 overall. Lars Nootbaar got a 97 for a walk off single.

As for O’Neill I kind of figured that they were going to offset his gains with a decrease. And in fairness he is striking out quite a bit more this month than last.

Do you still want a Carlson card? I feel like tonight's HR by O'Neill to put them ahead in the 8th (and secure the win) over their wild card competition was more Topps Now worthy.

Bro his stats for a gold are absolute fire. 89s hitting with max defense and speed is legit

Imagine a 99 Finest O’Neill….. the card artwork alone would make him end game for me.

I'd place my bet on O'Neill. Both Carlson's HRs yesterday came after they were already winning.
O'Neill's homer on Saturday was a gave them the lead in the bottom of the 8th. Carlson already has a Topps Now card and I am not sure that they would do a second.

Of course I would not actually place a bet on it. There is no telling what SDS will do.

The Topps Now cards are real cards. SDS doesn’t make them. They choose players out of the weeks cards, usually of players that wouldn’t normally get a high rated card.
Maybe you all know this and they made them. Just putting it out there in case it’s informative to anyone.

I just made a post saying that Topps Now cards from earlier in the season should be able to progress and evolve with the game cycle so that they remain usable throughout the year. Obviously they shouldn't be 99's but if they are making them all 97-98 now, then the old ones should be too. Then we can use them and still be competitive against all these all-99 teams which in reality might even be all-125 teams.

There is like 8 yankee topps which is more than then the second place Giants by 2.

Yeah, the Yankees have had 8
    White Sox have had 8
The Reds have had 7 (to go with 5 POTM cards)

Just did a quick look here are your teams with the fewest Topps Now cards in the game

Nationals and Royals each only have 1
    Astros have had 2
Cardinals, Orioles, Blue Jays, Braves and Mets each have 3.

In the Cardinals case two of theirs came back in April so those cards have long been retired by many (Carlson was an 82 and Dejong was a 87)
