Who do you have in your pen? I’m not completely happy with mine, but I’m not sure there are better options available? Gossage is the best reliever in the game IMO, Chapman, Miller are both staying,
Gossage
Chapman
A Miller
Soto
Dibble
L Smith
Britton
RiveraConsidering:
Fingers
Nen
Reyes
Hoffman
G Richards (Topps Now)
P Corbin (post season) -
Mo
Goose
Chapman
Miller
Hader
Reyes
Richards
D. Williams/ gold Betances -
He's pricey and gotten even pricier the past few days, but Jansen is a really nice bullpen piece.
Oh...also Eck. For the longest time I had that card in my pen and didn't turn to it much. He is beyond consistent and sometimes that is exactly what you need.

Rivera (Milestone)
Jansen (Milestone)
Gossage (Milestone)
Chapman ( signiture)
Andrew Miller (signiture)
Eckersley (signiture)
Fingers (signiture)Also don't sleep on the new Devin Williams
Or Rob Nen -
4 lefties is way too much

I forgot Eck, I feel like I could give him another shot…could pony up for Jansen, but idk if want to.

Agreed, 2 lefties is just perfect.
I like to keep three in my pen

3 works as well, 4 is a bit much though. Theres a lot of good closers/relief pitcher to choose from this year and we don't even have Wagner yet.

That Britton card is not hard to hit if I remember correctly he has 4seam, 2seam, sinker, and slider. His sinker and slider are legit, but you can just sit on one or the other. Hader is underwhelming as well.
I also run 4 lefties…at this point everyone has a lineup with alternating lefties and righties.

Prime card is just fastball/slurve, with 68 break 70 control on his 2-seam. Pretty underwhelming. His gold has the same H/9, with 99 break on his Slurve/Slider/& Knucklecurve. All 3. So if I'm gonna use a Betances card this year, it'll have to be the gold. Unless he gets a 99, which he totally deserves, but probably isn't getting

I didn’t even realize this. I am going to try the gold card out. When I use his Prime card, it’s basically just the 4-seam and the slurve. Unfortunately, I think the Prime is the highest Betances we will be getting this year. Thanks for the reply.

4 lefty’s is too much??? Most of the best hitters in the game are lefties or switch hitters with lefty being there better batting attributes. And as far as I know most people struggle lefty vs lefty. Maybe you struggle with lefties but I don’t think carrying 4 lefty’s is too many at all. I wouldn’t have a normal DD team without at least 4 lefty relievers. But I guess to each his own right?

Break doesn’t mean much to a good hitter in this game. His gold has a very hittable fastball and the fastball on his prime I’m pretty sure has outlier. This years game is all about fastball velocities and even a 97-98 mph fastball is hittable without that outlier quirk. In fact you’re doing most of us a favor if you’re using big breaking curves and sliders with pitchers who have outlier fastballs. Maybe your too hung up on those attributes.

I'm not hung up on anything. I'm using a gold card over a diamond first of all. Don't even get me started about how pitches in this game have no break, pitches are the least deceptive they've ever been (unless it was already like this in 20). It's one of the biggest reasons this game sucks. It's why outlier / sinker cutter as a meta is the strictest it's ever been. I just wanted to answer the guy above. That gold Betances sits on 99 & regularly touches 100. He's easily the better of 2 of you feel like using his card in a pinch. The prime doesn't have outlier
