Okay… am I missing something here?!?!

Due to people glitching the game, SDS has decided to place an XP cap on all players rather than fix the glitch?

I am hoping when they say “through gameplay”, the XP cap doesn’t include collections. But even still, I grind over 35k XP a day when new innings come out. Now I will be playing much less.

How does SDS not see that making a decision like this only causes it’s player base to play the game less or even quit playing the game altogether. Whoever made this ludicrous decision needs to be fired immediately.

    Fix the glitches!!

An XP cap will only make players go play other games. It's ridiculous. There are people who play legitimately and grind for XP. Not all of us use glitches or cheat to gain XP. And how did they come up with 35,000 as the cap?? That is not hard to reach at all. Instead of fixing things they are going to punish everyone. Way to kill the game before the playoffs even start.....

Does this also include XP gained in RTTS? I am on medical leave and am able to play all day and RTTS is a mode I can do that with. Now with the XP cap, what's the point?

XP is XP….. no difference between modes. 35k is easily reachable each day, especially in RTTS. I’m expecting this XP patch to be retracted…. There is no point and this makes no sense.

Seriously… someone please give me a valid reason that justifies this change… other than a small set of people exploiting/glitching the game. Because every solution that runs through my head is to BAN people and/or fix the glitches.

Fixing the glitches would be ideal but through gameplay alone, not including collections or boosts from CAP players as far as I know. Most people shouldn't be reaching that from just playing, I say most because I'm sure there are people who de legitimately reach it. In their notes they did say they are willing to raise the cap in the future if this proves to be too low. My guess is it will get bumped up pretty quick.

Perfect example is people that grind the conquest map (myself included). You can grind the entire map in one day (which is easily done I might add) and is way over 35k XP.

Anyone that grinds stubs and xp the right way (I honestly grind the conquest map daily) and parallels players on the regular, knows that 35k XP cap is way too low.

But in any case, a cap on XP makes no sense. It is placing a restriction on 99.9% of the player base due to a small number of people glitching the game.

When there was double XP a couple of weeks ago I played for a full day/night to take advantage thinking they weren’t going to bring it back until the next program. This was all games on rookie against the computer and I ended up with over 100,000. No glitching or anything like that, I’m really not a fan of this cap thing

So going literally all day and all night earned you 50K XP. So you have to play almost non-stop in order to hit the cap.

You ... kinda just validated their number.

I honestly don't see anyone CONSISTENTLY hitting 35k. Maybe a couple days but not all the time. For everyone complaining about the cap if you do consistently hit it I suggest you post screenshots on the forum of you receiving no xp and if enough people do it they will raise the cap. I think people should give it a couple days before completely bashing it

Man there is alot of people crying over this. I play alot ND I don't think I have hit that 35k in one of my normal play sessions.

That said if you are upset about this ask yourself have you ever seen a video on YouTube of someone showing off an xp glitche??? If you answer yes then do not support these creators as they are the problem as tge show everyone else this glitches. Then everyone cries that there are these glitches and that SDS should do something about. So don't be mad at SDS for taking action, blame the proximate cause.

I showed you the math in another thread (and made a post showing the math) that you chose to ignore. It takes only 4-6 hours of play to hit the cap. On weekdays, sure very few will hit the cap. But many people like to or can only play on weekends and those caps will be easily hit on Saturday/Sunday.

Complain about the XP cap all you want. Anybody that is playing a reasonable amount of hours or online at all isn't hitting that daily cap. Just people that grind the USA conquest over and over and literally don't do anything else. Offline players that play daily moments and a couple conquest games per day aren't hitting that cap. Online players aren't hitting it. It doesn't effect bonus XP from completing collections, player programs, showdown, RTTS archetypes. For 99% of us, we won't even notice it is there.

The other question I have. If you are consistently hitting over 35k a day then wouldn't you have the program done in about a week. Which means you have about 3 weeks of gameplay earning no XP towards anything. So do you not play for the 3 weeks after you finish the program?

Global pandemic. Let's tell our customers that we don't know how to fix our exploits and let's penalize legitimate people that might want to spend one day a month playing for 9 hours.

This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen a game company do in my 48 years of life as a "fix" for poorly designed experience gain.

SDS is now saying that "we don't know how to code XP properly, is we're going to cap it".

I have so much to say here.

THIS IS THE DEFINITION OF LAZY CODING.

My goodness, what a bad look.

A handful of people EXPLOIT your game, so instead of fixing the exploiting, let's screw people that might want to grind a few days a month.

A few years ago, there was an XP bug that limited the amount of weekly XP you got. I remember hitting it during a week of playing a bunch. Filed a report, came here to diagnose the issue and sure enough, the entire community was hit by it for 3 weeks.

This is going to be great seeing posts all day about XP not registering for someone that bangs out a conquest map and 2 showdowns in 6 hours and no longer get XP.

Don't even get me started on kids reporting griefing for not knowing how to lay off pitches out of the zone.

Your math was faulty, as I showed and you ignored.

From your obsession on this topic, I can only deduce that you are one of the exploiters who used the glitches in order to complete the program in a day or so and now your bluff got called.

Sorry they took away your advantage.

35k per day adds up to a little more than a million in a month. Even if all you did was play games without completing any content, you would still hit 650k well before the program ends. People who were grinding obsessively to finish early under the old system will still finish early under the new one. I’m not seeing a problem.

Anyone who is trying to justify that the number is to low what evidence do you have?????

Cause here is the thing SDS has the numbers ALL the numbers they likely have data points to show what the averages of xp that are earned per day by players. The data to show the average xp earned per day of the week. SDS have hard physical evidence, you only have a tin foil hat and some paper towel and crayons to write down your "evidence"

Sorry, all you showed was that your reading comprehension was faulty.

Let me be clear, pre-double xp you can earn 1700xp a RTTS game as a pitcher or 1500+Xp a game in conquest. THOSE ARE WITHOUT DOUBLE XP. That equates to 4 hours to hit the cap in RTTS or 6 in DD.

I have never exploited xp, but I do like to play a lot on weekends when the wife and kid are at dance practice. I think you just need a 3rd grade math refresher.
