This is the post of the year.
I laughed out loud.
Did you throw a "trouble ball" as well?
Great stuff. -

I've played and coached baseball for many years. I played catcher my whole life, Little League through high school varsity, a number of years playing NABA and MSBL,, I'm a certified umpire and spent a season as a bullpen catcher for the triple A Co. Springs Sky Sox. I have never in my life seen a 12-6 curveball. As a bullpen catcher, I caught curveballs, knucklecurves, which really are no different than a curveball, some pitchers get better results with the knuckle, sliders, change ups, splitters, everything, and they all look basically the same from any pitcher. The movement on fastballs at that level are much more unique to each pitcher, but I've never seen, known or caught a pitch that drops straight down to the degree this game calls a 12-6 "curveball." And I've caught some nasty changeups and splitters.
One of the best examples of a 12-6 is AJ Griffin.
I threw it, but it's a lot harder to throw than a regular curve, or a slurve.
Not many throw it.
My son has a good one.
It's murder on your shoulder because you have to bring your thumb over the top of your fingers when you throw it to create that type of spin.
And I think Greinke's "Bloopie" pitch is a 12-6.
You're right, though. Not many people throw a true 12-6.
Check out Griffin on Youtube.
Another problem is that if you leave it up, the results are not good.Idk, I checked out Griffin, amazing breaking ball,, but more 12-7:30. Good example of a nasty curveball though. Thanks for your comment and the AJ Griffin reference.

I loved using AJ online.
Threw some masterpieces with him. I think he had a Gold Card one year.
Too many injuries and HR's. -

This guy named Nolan thought it existed...
Yeah this is pretty good evidence that there is, indeed a 12-6 curveball lol
Schmidt was accurate when he called it " nose to toes". why cant this game ever make it look like that?
-
I threw a 12-6 from 12 years old to pro ball.
-
As a pitcher I can say there is a 12-6 curve. And a sweeping curve. It’s all the twist of the wrist on release. 12-6 you snap your hand towards the batter. Sweeping curve is more of a spin like 2-7 on a clock.
-
So then people are throwing 11-5 and 1-7 Curves?
Why is a Curve called 'Uncle Charlie?' -
12-6 is really only thrown by guys who have a high arm slot. Guys who come over the top and are able to snap down. The guys who have the 3/4 delivery throw across their body and the ball has a slurve feel to it.
-
I threw a 1-7 curve, but I was in the eastern time zone so it was 12-6 for a lot of America

Why is a Curve called 'Uncle Charlie?'The exact origin is not known, but it referes to someone having a very good curve ball.
For someone with a dominant curve ball, they coined the term Lord Charles. I believe Dwight Gooden was the first to have his curveball called a Lord Charles, but I may be mistaken.

So you threw a Curve Ball in the east, a 12-6 in central and a screwball in the west?

Bronson Arroyo had a nice 12-6

Dwight Gooden was a beast. I was hoping he would get a card tbh.

I think in the West it’s called a slider 3-9, instead of sticky stuff they use Avocado and in mountain time more of a slurve 2-8 they use Rocky Mountain oyster juice.

I think the best 12-6 of all time was Sandy Koufax.
Damned thing just did a dive bomb.
