Very generous card, Bader isn't NEAR that good, especially against RHP....not a knock bc most arent
So far for the season he is batting .297 against righties and 227 vs lefties.
I can't find lefty/righty splits just for the month of July but based on a .357 July average he easily could have been that good against righties that one month.

Yeah, coming back from his injury was good for him, he was hitting well for the month so I wont knock the card. And I know these cards are fantasy based on a short time frame, But Cards fans know Bader won't ever be that good lol...ill gladly eat crow if wrong

99% of the players who get POTM cards will never be that good.
And Bader and O'Neill are leading the team in BA among regular players.

how does Bader get a higher card than Pollock who batted like .350 and higher ops, slg and had 7 bombs in July?

That card is a 97 because CF is a position where they weigh the speed and defense very heavily in the overall score.

2020 - 32.0%

I was on the lookout for Bader as I scrolled through the program rewards and got more and more excited as I didn't see him listed. I geeked out for a moment when I saw the was the 80 point reward and a 97 but that all came back down to earth when I checked out his stats.
With as generous as they were to Schwarber vs lefties this card was absolutely butchered as an 80 point POTM card. Burnes, Correa and Wheeler were all usable when they were released.72 contact vs Lefties at this point in this game might as well be 17 (at least for a terrible hitter like me).
I understand you don't want to make an 80 point god card but lower that contact vs righties by a few points and get that contact vs lefties up to 90 and we'd have been in business. I would think this would have been negotiable for a dude who historically really only hit lefties well... especially, as I said, since they juiced Schwarber's lefty numbers like they did.

I mean Pollock's card is probably better despite the lower overall. This one has crazy power vs RH but is heavily juiced by "clutch" outside of that. I'm a huge Bader fan and this contact vs LH has me kind of bummed. I was really hoping to bump Jasson Dominguez to my bench.

These POTM cards are so underwhelming wow.
It's usually around this time (July/August) that the POTM cards lose a lot of their "thunder," so to speak. I think the reasons for that are obvious as most of us have players we really like at each spot on our team, that's why I always root for starting pitchers to get the Lightning/Hero card for the last few months of the POTM programs each year as they have a better chance of being useful than say a first baseman or another outfielder.
