Actually, if improving the game is really your goal then the "just stop playing" mindset is your best hope of achieving that. Message board posts can be easily ignored, but a large enough decrease in game/stub sales can't.
Just stop playing? What does that accomplish? Anyone that has paid for a product period..and is unsatisfied with it. Just stop using it and STFU. That's your answer?
No, the answer is to pass the word along to as many as you can reach. Make the information far reaching enough that folks that haven't bought the game that are considering it won't... if their purchase intent is based on enjoying a competitive MLB simulation.
People that have bought it and might be considering buying it again because the marketing tactics every year state "Much improved"..do not. Because every year it's the same 'ol arcade play.
The only way to make that happen is get the experienced word out on the street to any "potential" future buyers.
You have heard of customer reviews correct? They are HUGE in influencing future purchasers. The negative as well as positive.

This game has been a dumpster fire since 18. Content has been great since 19 but gameplay has be bad. But hey we can pitch this year, 20 was pitch and pray. This year outside of allstar pitching wins games

Gotta love the algo to make every game close as well! If you’re winning a game in the 9th inning you can be assured that all of your opponents batters immediately turn into Jesus Christ.

Offline plays better but there's still unusual batted balls based on hitting feedback.
I hit a ball foul with "good timing" and then the next pitch the timing changed to "just late". This was offline, so it really makes you wonder what is going on if the feedback is all screwed up, how are these things affecting the actual gameplay?
Between the inconsistent pitch speeds, 11 PCI bombs, incorrect feedback, perfect-perfect fouls... Idk if the game is broken, if DDA is real... But I do feel like SDS is gaslighting us.

Also... Idk how you hit the consistent 100+ MPH velos without a monitor or high end gaming TV.
It's one thing to get these things to be a professional or competitive gamer, it's totally different if you need it to play casually.

Agree with the point you don't need to change any hardware to fix broken software. But, there is no such thing as a professional gamer in MLB The Show. In a fixed environment, there is the AI and everyone else pretty equally grouped.

Ignorant is playing a game like The Show and believing it's anything but a Computer-controlled arcade game. It's someone trying to convince others that it's a true simulation and not a randomized AI animation generator.
The guy admitted he spent 3 months before he learned his lesson. Don't use the bullying-gaslighting unsavory marketing tactics to make him feel bad for complaining.

If you play this game expecting it to be true to user input, you'll be sorely disappointed. I just lost a game where I had like 20 hard hit balls to 4 and lost 3-1. It was a wonky connection as some P/P swings went foul. I just laughed. You can't take this game seriously as a competitive game.

Disagree completely. Clearly they are just guessing so if the guess correctly, it is what it is. Gotta try to not be predictable and you better be able to cover a random solo shot or two.
