In my youth I was a card collector. I have every card from 1983 to 1991. Well I guess I still am but now the cards are digital

Chipper looks like such a smug little d-bag on that card. Little punk. Bet he never amounts to anything.

I never knew Dante Bichette looked like the bad guy from Kindergarten Cop even when he was on the Angels

I was born and raised in the UK and they just don't sell cards, later in my life I married a Texan, when we would visit her folks, I (a grown [censored] man) would splurge on packs, and had so much fun collecting them, feel like I kinda missed out all those years, same too with being able to go to an actual ball park and watch live games, I was like a big kid. šŸ™‚

btw your collection here is so [censored] cool!

It’s cool to see a card in the game and remember you have that card as well. I have a bunch of the early 80’s baseball cards but I was mostly a hockey and then later on football card collector

    To my ol' pal @SchnauzerFace

1977 and 1978. He looks respectful as opposed to that shameless Chipper card.

    You mean Larry?

Going through the box just reminded me how TERRIBLE Topps card art was at the time. Upper Deck & Score were light years ahead and had some unforgettable looking cards that we'll never see in game due to the Topps license.

You are so old I was expecting to see a Ty Cobb or Babe Ruth card.

I've got a bunch of cards from 76-79, and they all look horrible.

Robin Yount -- there's a shortstop who can make a guy settle down and talk about a longterm contract.

Wait... if I had a Ty Cobb card, I would buy SDS outright and change every Online mode to "Rookie", Common Pitchers, Diamond hitters.

I have cards from 87 to early 2000, collected off and on, It was hard to collect while in the Military. I would pick up card at yard sales, picked up a few complete sets and boxes of cards, Not really worth much.

    Very nice!

I’d love to have that Larkin card man

I'll look in my basement. I might have a couple. If I do, we can find a way for me to send it to you.
