At least he's a pitcher that won't be throwing 102 mph, right? /s
At least he doesn’t have a sinker or cutter.
He will most likely have a sinker. His SS did.
That said, he’s easy to hit if you have a good P2P connection.
When they give Walter Johnson and Christy Mathewson a sinker, they may as well give every pitcher a sinker.

Should be a Fastball, Cutter, 12-6 Curve, Changeup, and a Sinker. That is if I'm remembering correctly.
Won’t have a cutter. 4SFB, 12-6 CB, circle change, sinker. Changeup will be like 76 mph. No horizontal movement is his issue.

i hope the other 2 card options are better.

If it is Ryan, only proves how stale this game is.
i felt the same way, wont say i feel the game is all that stale but when i seen nolan i thought ugh...
-
@SaveFarris_PSN thought there was an 89 Rollie Fingers in game already
-
@SaveFarris_PSN nvm is see you said Athletics Rollie, my bad

My God! Nolan Ryan? I'm grinding until I grow callouses on my callouses. He's liable to be the key ingredient I'm missing to go completely WS in RS. Man..I'm dropping FIFA like a hot potato. This news is significant to me personally. If he's going to be a 99 that should really give me an advantage over all the other 99 batters..and 99 pitchers. 99 Ryan will shine like the bright sparkly Diamond his is.
Bro smoked meth before typing this stroke of a comment out.
-
as long as the 2 players are good i wont care but nolan ryan is not someone i am looking forward to grind for.
-
Legit no chance they would make it that obvious. it's probably Ryan throwing to Rickey Henderson.

Could very well be.
Rickey Henderson was Nolan Ryan's 5000th Career Strikeout. August 22nd, 1989.
-
Between the two I'm hoping for Ryan. I'm really happy with my current lineup but my pitching staff could still use a boost.
-
Rickey Henderson broke Lou Brocks stolen base record the same day Nolan Ryan threw his 7th no hitter.
-
If Ryan is one, you don't have to choose him, unless SDS gives him a Sink-piece 🥺

How about a Nolan Ryan with decent control for once
Considering he is the all time leader in walks as a pitcher, and nearly by 1,000 of them for that matter I doubt he'll get a card with THAT decent of control. As he probably shouldn't if they are trying to make these cards as realistic as possible.

That leaves Athletics Rollie Fingers as the last player to appear in the Legends Trailer but not debut in the game yet.
I think he got a henchman card already but its like a 89 card

Future stars, all star game cards, hr derby cards, etc.; there's nothing realistic about this game at all. Ryan is the all time leader; give him the card he deserves, with the control and pitches so that translates in to the game.

Rickey Henderson
There is literally a picture of Nolan Ryan on the tweet man
too obvious
Do we even know it's a pitcher? There's no pitching rubber in the picture. Jus' sayin'...

Unless they give him a slider or cutter, which he didn't throw, then it doesn't matter if they give him good control. Sure there are cards that get pitches they don't throw, but almost all of them are given a sinker instead of a two seam, which are practically the same pitch

I get your point, it is a fantasy based game with a lot of juiced attributes for certain card types. However, most of the cards that are juiced in particular areas are done so in areas they were/are good at. Future star cards while those guys have never played a game in the majors for the most part, are based on what they might project to be if they reach their major league potential. HR Derby cards are juiced power cards for guys that are already some of the best power hitters in the game. All star game cards are stacked based on what someone did in the AS game or maybe the first half that those all stars had for this season. Nolan Ryan is one of the best pitchers of all time and will undoubtedly have stacked attributes in certain areas. His k/9 will probably be maxed out, as just like walks, he's the all time leader in that category. To give him good control though would be giving him something he never really excelled in. Vlad Jr. is one of the great young players in the game, he's got an all star game card like you mentioned, but they don't give him 93 speed simply because he's good. They juice his attributes in areas that he is actually good at in real life.

It's also a brewers card, not an A's card. Which is what he's pictured as in the trailer. Now that Ranger Nolan Ryan has been teased, every other player in the trailer has a card for the uniform they're wearing.
