I don't hit too well with him. At least early on. I love the defense, but nothing but frustration at the plate offline, at least.

It’s so annoying when people think cards perform better than their numbers. The main factor is user input, among a million other things. But given enough time and equal at bats the cards will perform as their numbers indicate. There’s always going to be variance, especially in small sample sizes. My last game I hit a walk off with Jackie Robinson. Does that mean he’s the best power hitter? No.

It's even more annoying when people who are clueless make a dumb post like this. If you think ratings are the only thing that matters and all cards will reflect after enough or equal at bats you are clearly new to the game. For me swings are bigger than ratings... last year I had 84 Carew all year and at times in a stacked lineup of 99s and 1000+ AB and he was the only hitter I had with a .350 + batting average when I stopped playing. This year similar experience with 83 Duran... guys got a better batting average than most of my 98s and 99s. I bet people like you laugh out loud when I pinch hit a gold player for a 98 in late game situation.

    Or any Mondessi card lol

Used both cards, love both cards. Swings are so subjective. Just because you dislike someone’s swing doesn’t mean I’m going to dislike them.

While I agree that ratings aren't the only thing that matters, a good or bad swing is often dependent on each of us. I love Sam Huffs swing, for example. Not the best idea to give examples when often times it is preference.

    My point exactly

I kept ellsbury in my line up last year all the way until the end. He didn’t have the best rating but I felt I could get in front of a lot of inside jam shots with him and he had good pull power.

Saw someone say he’s one of the better catchers because of the pop time quirk and decided to give his 98 a try and first game on HOF 2-3 with a 2 run shot and second game on legend 3-4 with another 2 run shot. He’s probably the best catcher defensively too. Def gonna move schwarb to left and sacrifice the speed out there because man JT’s swing is nice. Has anyone else found him as a diamond in the rough

He has "pop time quirk" but it's still impossible to throw out a runner! He never comes up throwing! Why is Aaron Judge stealing 3rd easily on him?

See I raked with Huff, I only had him for a small sample size though.

When you don’t ever play on HOF or Legend yes any card is good bc pitch speeds are so slow. Don’t try and tell me Soriano has a good swing. He can’t turn on inside sinkers and fastballs same with huff. Just because he can do it on all star difficulty doesn’t mean anything

Im talking about good players using good cards on high difficulty. Hence why I included that it was on HOF and legend. People that don’t play on that difficulty have no clue that swing types even exist

I don't play on that difficulty because I don't play enough ranked seasons to move up, but I know swing types exist. Why are you acting like such a hardo?
