I never got a PS5.
It's a joke at this point how hard it is, so a lot of us never got to try it.
If you're asking SDS is it worth it, yes.
Someone created Harambe Stadium. That's a win in my book 🤪
To say the feature serves no purpose is your opinion.
People are different. Some play The Show just for the card aspect as in card collectors. You can say The Show is as vanilla a sports game that there has ever been. They wanted to add some flavor. Cater to the casuals that way, if you can get a PS5. -
I see it the same as created uniforms. It’s awesome when people take pride in making cool uniforms but it’s not that great when people just have hot pink/lime green uniforms with no taste at all. Doesn’t really bother me though.
There’s been some gems created by the community but unfortunately that’s a minority

It's year one, these things can be addressed and improved upon. Do you remember year one of Diamond Dynasty?

Exactly, that's the whole point of this post. I was hoping they could do CAS and make a big improvement in gameplay, but I can't help but think their focus on CAS hindered gameplay improvements this game needs.
This isn't roller coaster tycoon. Get gameplay better FIRST priority.

So obviously this feature is not available for those of us who play on PS4 or Xbone...but does that mean we can never play a PS5 or Xbox Series X player in their stadium? Can PS4 players even play PS5 players?

No, you can't be matched up with a player who uses a custom stadium.
I hate that there are almost no opportunities to use them as an offline DD player. Shoot. I tried to figure out how to use one for a Play vs CPU game for one of the programs and I could not figure out how to do it. I could not even choose one of the preset custom stadiums by SDS they all said I needed to upload them first. Why would I need to upload a copy of a default custom stadium?

They've had almost 20 years to "Fix the gameplay", and according to you they've yet to get it right. At some point maybe you should accept that.

The guy working on stadium creator doesn't work on gameplay.

Create a Stadium lacks a lot of depth, which to be fair is expected considering its the first iteration. The lack of life beyond the walls, no night games, and the lack of ability to really create anything im depth hinder the mode. I really wish there were some basic templates that you could use to enlarge and warp to however you want, similar to creating a logo.
Ideally a system similar to Planet Coaster which allows your imagination to be as detailed as possible with your designs. But again, first year, I wasn't expecting a whole lot.

I've built two absolute gems that would rival any MLB Stadium. Spent 10+ hours on each and gave them tremendous details from custom decks to customizing the props to make features nobody else will have.
Actually built them with fair dimensions and altitudes so they play great! I'm looking forward to the evolution of this when they add additional features/props and being able to play night games.
As far as the garbage some people build, all I can say is not many folks have the patience, imagination or taste to build something nice.
I'm all in on the Stadium Creator. It's really the only reason I even got a PS5 and I absolutely love it.
