They've had almost 20 years to "Fix the gameplay", and according to you they've yet to get it right. At some point maybe you should accept that.

I was always opposed to it from the start because it was a gimmicky idea.
And this year I was proven right. 3 feet high walls with high elevation and dinosaurs in the stands…

It's year one, these things can be addressed and improved upon. Do you remember year one of Diamond Dynasty?
I remember very well. I’m just not a fan of all the fluff. I rather have unprecedented gameplay

Create a Stadium lacks a lot of depth, which to be fair is expected considering its the first iteration. The lack of life beyond the walls, no night games, and the lack of ability to really create anything im depth hinder the mode. I really wish there were some basic templates that you could use to enlarge and warp to however you want, similar to creating a logo.
Ideally a system similar to Planet Coaster which allows your imagination to be as detailed as possible with your designs. But again, first year, I wasn't expecting a whole lot.

I see it the same as created uniforms. It’s awesome when people take pride in making cool uniforms but it’s not that great when people just have hot pink/lime green uniforms with no taste at all. Doesn’t really bother me though.
There’s been some gems created by the community but unfortunately that’s a minority

I've built two absolute gems that would rival any MLB Stadium. Spent 10+ hours on each and gave them tremendous details from custom decks to customizing the props to make features nobody else will have.
Actually built them with fair dimensions and altitudes so they play great! I'm looking forward to the evolution of this when they add additional features/props and being able to play night games.
As far as the garbage some people build, all I can say is not many folks have the patience, imagination or taste to build something nice.
I'm all in on the Stadium Creator. It's really the only reason I even got a PS5 and I absolutely love it.

Full disclosure, I'm on PS4 so I don't have stadium creator but honestly I wouldn't have touched it more than once even if I had a PS5.
Ppl were creaming themselves over this thing and the first week and it was fun seeing what the YouTubers made. But who in the blue heII cares about your Jurassic Park when the gameplay only made a slight improvement from last year.
So my main point is IF you could trade in your access to stadium creator for gameplay where "user stick stills DO reign supreme", would you? My answer in 100% yes, I think SC is GOOFY and so unnecessary.
Let's get the gameplay IN BETWEEN THE FOUL LINES polished before we get into gimmicks and dinosaurs in the outfield SDS.
Would rather see some pre-made stadiums instead of a creator mode. Too easy to exploit and any attempts to restrict the features would limit other creative builds. Just add in 15-20 random ones, maybe themed types. Lots of talent could be used elsewhere.

Wut? Figures people that don't really need a PS5 have one. Thank God Gran Turismo 7 is delayed or there'd be riots. 🪠

Enough people over enough years that SDS felt compelled to finally made and implement the feature. People have been asking since the switch to PS3 -
Bumper cars. Bumping in the outfield. Useless.

That premise is faulty at the start by assuming that they are related in any way. Created stadiums were not there last year, or any other year that they had bugs and people complaining about gameplay issues.
If there was a reason to delay Stadium Creator I would say that it is because it is not fully implemented yet (no night games). Hell, I tried to use one of their own examples in a Play vs CPU game they other day and I could not choose one. It kept telling me that I needed to upload it to the vault. Why? Why would I need to upload a default stadium that comes with the game just to be able to use it in a CPU game.

I just think that the mode left a lot to be desired. I might cut some slack since it's the first game with that feature but...
They still haven't fixed the night game issue.
