Knew I was in trouble when the first play was a diving play and second was a sliding catch on a line drive by the outfielder. 8 out of first 10 had good/good or better and didn't have a hit. Good luck getting people to play this mode with the [censored] hit results and gold glove fielding. Really fun waste of 2 hours. Amazing how these things constantly happen when you are one win away from the affinity player.

I am fairly confident that they juice everything against you on that mode. The issue is, I get to deGrom so rarely that I can't get a comparison shot of the PCIs to prove my biggest gripe

That's probably the best I have ever hit against Cole and scored a whopping 2 runs. I actually got 2 hits on okay swings which was more than my good/good or better. I'm sure they see the number of failures and people not playing this mode. Sadly, it is really the only way to get good players since online sucks so bad and I don't want to play a virtual market with my time. I guess I should just play a virtual market for 2 hours. Would have got better results.

Couldn't tell you but I couldn't have hit Cole any better than I was doing. 8/10 good good or better is pretty good. I am very patient in those also. I look for one location until 2 strikes. Computer loves to throw down with a runner on 1st and even with the pci down, I still manage to hit one hoppers to the gold glove infielders.
I don't really have anything better to do but it is frustrating. Takes a while for me to quit something but if that keeps happening I probably will.

I got him down to 5 runs left with 12 out and failed. It’s like no matter what kind of contact I put on the ball it was an out. I gave up

The AL Central and AL West ones are easy though. You don't have living cheat codes as bosses there. Verlander and Kopech are cakewalks compared to Scherzer and deGrom

Is your biggest gripe that in earlier boss battles your PCI is smaller than it is in the final boss battle? Because thats 100% true.

Edit: Also, you being better than me is irrelevant to my gripe(You likely are better lmao). I just wish they'd stop lying about the difficulty. If it was Hall of Fame and it said Hall of Fame, I'd be fine with it. But it often says All Star and feels like Hall of Fame, which is dirty as heck

I call BS. If you have finished 7 showdowns without losing a single one then nobody is going to believe the "I’m not even that good " line. I know I don't believe it because I have failed the first boss of the 1st inning program all three times that I have attempted it, and that is the very definition of not very good.

Showdown is fun, but can be frustrating. It kind of reminds me of original NES games - when you fail you have to start over. I enjoy this aspect.
If I could change one thing, it would be to provide more vouchers. Doing it 3 times for one FotF is a bit much. Twice is plenty.

I'll win 75% of the time and all the rewards are cool but that other 25% makes me question wether or not my monitor is going to make it through the game cycle.
I still don't know how they expect new and casual guys to do it because BA on anything good/good or higher is NOT what it is supposed to be.

I’m really not that good lmao. Usually struggle pretty hard in events, and only play RS when there’s nothing left offline to do.

I have failed the first inning showdown 16 times. It's really comical at this point.
The last time I was down by 1 run with 2 outs left. Runners on second and third, guy on second is the winning run.
Perfect/perfect lineout and then a frustration ground out. Sigh -
I think the key is a balanced lineup and being patient enough to wait on your pitch or take walks. I haven’t had much trouble aside from Morton in the AL East. Guy has my number.
Sale and Cole get crushed every time I get past Morton. Lineup is just too weak at that point.
