Timing windows are at an all time worst

I'm actually trying to get to 40 wins in RS this cycle. As some of you know, I'm not WS-level. but I hang out in the 600 range. I feel like it's all over the place. One game, I'm squaring up everything Corbin Burnes throws at me, the next I'm swinging a second after it hits the catcher's mitt. I know that some of it is my internet lag, and MOST of it is ME. But it just feels all over the place.
This is completely anecdotal, but I don't seem to have the same issue in BR. BR feels much more consistent to me.
Like you, not the greatest, hangout in the 600-700 range and 19 games above .500 currently. Game last night seemed really weird. I struggled vs Cole getting 1 hit through 9 and only 3 hits total through 15 innings. Somehow still ended up winning but that was very frustrating and weird experience. I just couldn't get my timing down at all.
I'm hoping it was just me being tired after a long day but I don't know.

Also, it could be matching up with folks far away. I live near Jacksonville, FL, and last year I played tons of people in FL and GA. This year, I've been playing a ton of games with guys from NY and NJ. My AOL dial-up just isn't up for the challenge.
And I'm old and tired.

I think the guy I played was local. He had the same city name as mine. Not that means he was in my area but chances are it wasn't someone in Germany lol

Oh, well. Hope you get it worked out then. The hit timing works excellent for me anyway.

Ok. Enlighten me. What is a timing window.
The window you have to get good/perfect timing on your swing. When the game is laggy, you have to overcompensate and swing much sooner to get good timing on it. Because in your screen the baseball is just about to leave the pitcher's hand but according to the game registration, the pitch is already passing the strike zone. So the windows are off and don't represent what you see on your screen correctly and that makes playing one game to the next pretty much impossible to get your timing down.
Edit: sometimes it works the other way around and you have to sit back way longer on a pitch or you'll be early. Same concept but just in the opposite direction.
I feel like they're putting to much emphasis on the contact rating of the hitter as well. When you have timing windows that fluctuate anyway, factoring in lag and swing animation as well is kind of a nightmare.

We need dedicated servers asap.
I faced the other day Edward Cabrera in back to back games. One game I mercied my opponent in 8, the next I struck out 17 times to inside sinkers even tho I knew it was coming. I had to sell on it, my opponent realized it and started playing rocking chair with me.

I just shut somebody out starting John Franco gor 6 innings. I put up a whopping 1. Seems pretty legit.
On the real though timing windows are alright minus when lag is involved. I get good timing a lot. A big issue is it doesn’t matter lol.

as someone who lived in Jacksonville for 2 years i felt that statement. Like get it straight I’m not from there just passing by jville is another level of crazy lol

The games were brutal for me last night and the game I played today. All star difficulty and on a monitor and pitch speeds just seemed off the charts to me. This game just does not play consistently and it’s frustrating.

Warped pitching almost every game. I tanked back to all star and am getting blown away by 93. I literally have to sit off speed.
Besides the opponents thinking I am trash and how did I make WS, I hope they are getting some pitching lessons from me. They are probably thinking if this idiot can make WS, so can I. Giving people hope.

With the exception of one Friday, it has been like this for weeks.
Just played someone with NY in the title (since all I seem to play are east coast and Chicago people) and Ohtani was blowing by me on all star. Just trying to get my 40 wins in and waiting for the McDonald's wifi people to get to 1000+ rating.

The last few days the hitting has been absolute trash. Pci placement is no where near where I have it, the ball is going nowhere, I have not seen it this bad before. Something happened in their little update! But like always it was to make the people mad! Love you sds kiss kiss

I felt like I can hit again today. My BA for today is .444. Didn’t experience latency in any of my games. I hope this isn’t because of low traffic due to father’s day weekend.

Mine felt off all week. To the point I thought my controller needing updated(PS5) was potentially the issue. I was grasping at anything cause it felt weird. Then I swapped to a different stadium then I normally play at and it got out of it. No real rhyme or reason.

This hope things is correct. I don’t know maybe I’m playing all of you and it’s cheating y’all but I play a bunch of dudes who strike out 15+ times a game. But gotta play the whole game because if tho I strike out 3-4 times a game and hit the ball good inside the pci if it ain’t perfect then it’s just luck whether it’s a hit or an out so I scrape 1-2 runs across and win 1-0 or 2-0 lol. But they know if they can get lucky and run into run blind they can win lol.

On the rare occasions where I beat a player with a WS icon, I'm guessing it's because the timing windows are way off, and I happen to run into one pitch for a HR.
