It's not like you have to complete the LS collection to do that big collection later in the year though. TA 2 gives you 60 legends and flashbacks.

I get that wanting to collect cards but some people think they can't put on a competitive team if they don't do collections which is not true. TA 2 gets you tons of good free cards that gets you a god squad. I'm mainly targeting this thread to new players.
Honestly I don't know that we'll see a better 3B or 1B option than Chip and Papi, respectively. Throw some names out that we know are in the game if you think I'm totally wrong, but other than 99 Babe and Lou Gehrig I don't see anyone else even challenging Papi.
Chipper will probably be the best 3B by the end of the year but with Ortiz there are options that are cheaper to get like Jim Thome for example that are not far behind from Ortiz.
I have both. Ortiz starts at first. Thome is an option if I need 15 innings with Indians.
Ortiz is better than Thome but the AL collections costs 900,000 and you cant get Thome for free. If your a NMS spent player and you are trying to get the best team you can quickly who do think would be the better option Ortiz or Thome?
I’m NMS (not bragging at all I really don’t care) but it is perfectly possible to get the stubs to do LS without spending a dime

If Rivera worth 400-500k then Chipper, Trout and Ortiz probably worth 2 million. But I agree you could skip them and be alright.

I'm not saying it's impossible I just don't think it's worth it to sell the inning boss, BR rewards, event rewards to do the LS.

If you flip and invest then you should totally complete collections but there are people that sell basically every card in there inventory to get collections done.

Every year someone tries to justify not doing collections by telling themselves the cards aren't worth itThey aren't ?

Didn't sell any non-dupe, didn't work the market, spent no money, but I've still had the LS collection done since early May. True, I had a lot of pack luck in the first three weeks, but this game also gives out a lot of stubs provided you don't waste them.

I packed Cole the other day, and sold him to finish the NL, basically to buy Nolan and the Brewers Diamonds. I'm going to finish the AL but frankly I just don't feel like a huge need to. Last year I was trying harder to because there was XP for the XP path, but this year since it's really only stubs I don't feel a huge rush to get it done.

Great idea SDS. Doing a XBOX stub sale when the prices are already high enough.

That's why you got to hit it early. Packs are generally more rewarding, prices are higher on everything, and with a little luck it can be done. Now prices suck on most things, and packs don't pay for themselves.

I enjoy the collecting so much that I'd probably still do it if the final reward was a crappy common. Some of us don't base all of their activity in this game on competing online.
