Ok. What if we could devise an experiment where you’d have a batting machine like this one:
    https://youtu.be/Q_F9CxSmGOM
And you could program it to randomly swing through different parts of the zone and to randomly swing based on the speeds of a fastball, change, and slider. What would the odds be of the machine making contact against a real pitcher? It would just be random probability, but it would eventually happen wouldn’t it? And it could potentially happen on the first pitch. I think this dude could do it. But it would be based random probability. If you were to blindfold someone, and had them randomly swing against a pitcher, there’s a chance they could get a hit. Obviously, this isn’t exactly what he’s arguing, but I still think it’s possible. Not likely, but possible. Surely there’s some real work I need to be doing.

OP, you'd get smoked. Ive seen too many good batters go into deep slumps. That's guys who see this type of pitching on the daily. The number 4 prospect in baseball, since call up, can't even much get it going. You think you could hold your own? Think again. Youd be lucky if a pitcher didn't try some chin music while he laughs as you pi** all over yourself.

I think Kelenic has been looking good. Solid contact and deep at bats, not many K’s. Just remember how long it took Vladdy to get going...

The talent is there. It generally takes a minute to adjust to that pitching. Theres one rookie that I've been super impressed with that it didn't take but a minute for him to adjust and that is the Twins, Alex Kiriloff. Kelenic will get it going.

Genuine question, what would make you think I’m a worse hitter than the worst statistical hitting pitcher ever, when pitchers often don’t even hit from high school on and can still hit .050 at MINIMUM in the MLB

Every pitcher in the MLB was likely the best hitter on their HS team, and possibly their college team. Last time you played was coach pitch and you probably sucked so mommy and daddy switched you to soccer. Stfu already

Once my knee recovers if I can find a machine that throws 90 I’ll try it,l. Don’t think there’s any MLB pitchers near me though

That’s not true, there’s lots of POs nowadays who’s coaches don’t let them hit in HS or college

What is your confidence level? What percent chance are you giving yourself?

"once my knee recovers" Thanks for that man, I know all of this is a troll post, but the comedy is still gold!

Now, you need to go to batting cages and whiff so hard your helmet flies five feet. Put it on youtube. Thanks in advance.

No way. I would against at even money in a heart beat. 60% implies you're a .045 hitter. Not without some significant training.

Ozzie Albies started the season 1 for 20. He only struck out 3 times during that stretch. You are not as good as Ozzie Albies. Not only are you giving yourself way to much credit, you are discounting how awesome Major League defenders are.

And you would not even make my son's travel team or middle school team during tryouts much less be the best player. Their best players will play in college You didn't even play travel ball I am guessing. Just Rec league.

    Wouldn't it imply .030 because .6*.05 (1 hit) = .030

Assuming at bats are independent (probably not, but simplifies it) and you take all 20 at bats. Then chance of no hit 20 times in a row = 0.955^20 = about 40% no hits.

First 92 is not that hard if it is straight. I am going to go out on a limb and say it is not straight has a bunch of movement. Which increases the difficulty tremendously as well as anything that may have a wrinkle. With that being said 92 is still 92 it gets on you in a hurry at 90+ and factor in the difficulty of wood bats I am going to go with a hard no. If you have never faced 90+ it is way different than 70-80 you can hear the ball coming in and it is by you before you blink.

Now if you went out and worked at it for a couple months and practiced I would say you would increase your chances of getting a hit.
