You’re wrong. I hadn’t played baseball since high school and joined an adult league at age 27. I had to relearn just about everything. Fielding came back relatively quickly.. hitting is a whole different story. If you haven’t even seen high school pitching, I doubt you even touch a single pitch. Have you even used a wood bat?

Watch the video, it doesn't look too fast, if I get 20 ABs I can just sit fastball and take a swing in the zone, that's probably 100 pitches so statistically I should connect with one and find a hole I feel like.

Bro... It’s a lot harder than you think haha. I don’t think you’d get a hit in 20 ABs against a Single A pitcher. Unless you played high level baseball into your 20s, you aren’t touching a thing without a ton of training and practice.

The worst hitting pitcher ever had about a .045 OBP in the MLB. Most pitcher only players still take BP and stuff so that’s not surprising, but that goes out the window since this is the worst hitting pitcher ever, in all likelihood, I can hit better than the worst hitting pitcher ever, and being an 18 yo male with a decent build, I think I could.

With practice you could probably "hit the ball" if they are just throwing you strikes all day like practice.
Getting a hit in a MLB game today? no You would need years of training to get a good hit on a consistent basis.
Could you get lucky and get a hit once? i guess

How about going to find some real evidence other than you saying you can hit 95mph and then come back and actually try to prove us wrong, instead of all the false stuff. I like the confidence though.

    I mean I showed a video

Partially joking but you guys are overestimating MLB pitchers, there are pitchers who haven't touched a bat since Middle School and can bat .050, you can argue that they're still pros, sure but they aren't pros because of their hitting. You're also underestimating my biggest advantage, 20 ABs. I'm not arguing that I'd hit .300, I just need one hit in 20 ABs.

I also get an advantage that pros don't get, consecutive ABs. That pitcher who bats .050 doesn't get to see 80+ pitches in a row from the same guy like I do.

In addition, you guys are failing to look at it strategically, if I step in there, and after 10 ABs feel like it's untouchable, I can just use 10 ABs trying to bunt for a hit, the bet is only one hit.

Bartolo Colon hit .084, I am miles more athletic and coordinated than he is. I have a good build and am in my physical prime.... and I basically only need to hit half as well as Colon.

    Yeah ok.

Even players like Aaron Judge go through patches of 1-20 in plates appearances.

Joe Random off the street would have no chance against even Low A ball.

So I stumbled across this YouTube video of MLB pitches from a batter's POV and it made me realize, "This doesn't look that hard to hit." The pitches don't seem that fast, I think I could hit these.

I haven't played baseball since middle school, but I'm a young adult in pretty good physical condition. I believe I'm getting a hit in 20 ABs versus an average MLB pitcher and defense. I said this in a group chat and basically got flamed, but I'm pretty sure I'm right here.

Ball gets to you in less than a second! In that time you got to decide where the pitch is location wise, what kind of a pitch it is among some of the intangibles. Hardest thing to do in all pro sports is hit a [censored] baseball where the best in the world fail a minimum of 70% and that's among the upper echelon. Slow down down son and humble urself a little. Most of us couldn't score a point going up against an NBA player even.

Does Judge get 20 consecutive ABs against the same pitcher?

This is incorrect, if it's not make it take it, I could score once or twice in a game to 21 against an NBA bench player.

Go try out for juco ball, basketball or baseball, film the results and post them. Otherwise stop running your mouth.
And while I have you, please describe these statistics that are on your side. You relate everything back to probabilities of PROFESSIONALS succeeding and just try to apply them to yourself. My guess is you're maybe 50th percentile in athletic ability in general public, much lower in professional sports

I would bet my entire 401K that you couldn’t put a ball in play. I’m seriously not trying to be mean, but you haven’t even played high school and you think you could hit a major league pitcher? Also, they aren’t gonna serve you up 92mph fastballs down the middle... they’re gonna hit spots. Then when they drop in a slider that looked like it was coming for your hip out of the pitchers hand, my bet is that you [censored] your pants.

You get 11-0d just like this guy who thought he’d play one of the worst statistical NBA basketball players ever

Scoring one bucket is not equivalent to winning a fight lol. Your shooting doesn't really get worse depending on your opponent, if you can shoot, you'll score at least once.

    Keep making bad comparisons.
