Welcome to the show.
I played a guy using kopech today and it happened. I get it he has outlier but there were a few pitches that looked like 110mph that I totally missed. -
Im glad someone else brought this up. I hardly play online because a 95 mph fastball will go from looking like 95mph one inning to 115 the next.

Literally have to swing as soon as the ball leaves the pitcher's hand. Happening on all star and HOF. Game is zero fun. Happened on last patch. Guess my internet just got bad again. So much for the apology. Too early I guess. Game is playing just like 19 and 20 now.
It's probably because you don't have the collections done. The collections players actually have quirks to slow the ball down so that feeds into your conspiracy that it's paid to win.

I was noticing it on the affinity showdown. I beat the darn thing like 7 times already and I couldn't seem to catch up to anything and have lost 5 attempts in a row before I gave up. I'm guessing possible server lag. Should smooth out eventually.

What monitor are you playing on? Are you using VRR and/or ALLM? Do you have HDR on? Have you ever tried turning your controller off then back on to reset the Bluetooth connection? Or going wired?
I turned off my allm, hdr and vrr....just running on 4K fixed and it seems much easier to hit.

Wow dude. Who cares if he was contact swinging? He just finished saying he’s struggling to see the ball due to connection.
Your only comment is that? Does it make you feel good about yourself?

It's got nothing to do with bad days its azz connections

My man, a million things come into play when you aren't performing as well as you did yesterday.
When Lebron James has a bad game, he doesn't blame his shorts or shoes, he looks at things he did to change his ability to react, move, and focus. That includes diet, exercise, hydration, time of day, etc.
You've experienced highs and lows in performance your entire life. You have good and bad days at your job (assuming you have a job). You have good and bad days with your relationships. There are days your driving are on point, there are others you're half asleep and glad to get home safe. If you've never been personally responsible for bad days at work, with your marriage, or driving, you seriously lack the ability to self reflect.
There is no conspiracy theory here, you just had a bad day.

Are there people who don’t experience the pitch speed fluctuations? I also have games where I have to swing immediately. I have them more often than not, actually. It does suck. I hear people mention conspiracies and what not. I mean if someone doesn’t experience this, I understand why they wouldn’t believe it, but do people deny that pitch speeds fluctuate based on connection?

Just stop man. Looking at your history you won 10 straight games before losing 1 game this afternoon. You lost one game so of course you have to immediately run to the forum to complain that you are somehow being screwed by the game.
Maybe the pitch speeds are too fast but I find it interesting that you chose to post about it only after your one loss instead of complaining about it after any of the 10 consecutive wins, which all occurred in the last 2 days.

I was seeing the ball well for 2 out of 3 games today. Sometimes we have a bad day. Sometimes they just want us to lose and it shows. Sometimes we can recognize it, go pee, come back and swing and be very early on a slider again.
This has been going on since late Saturday. Listen, I don't care about my wins and losses or I would not drop down or quit out of games. Win or lose, I just want to have fun. I just won a HOF game. Had 7 hits and 5 runs and I just wait for a mistake pitch or hoping to get lucky. He brought in Dibble for two innings and I don't even know why I bothered swinging the bat. Next time I face Dibble during these circumstances, I am just going to take and time the fastball to the plate. It literally feels like .3 seconds. A 100 mph fastball from a pitcher takes .375-.4 to get to the plate.
-
I haven't experienced any of this but also have the uber set up, ps5 / monitor / fiber internet. I will say that after about my 6th beer I can't hit nada. Definitely not a party game. I've definitely had my good and bad days. Before I go to ranked I'll play the current lame event to see how my timing is. If it's off, I'll shoot over custom practice and get my timing down on HOF against Nolan and his high heat and sinkers vs Frank and his ridiculous batter's box.
-
I played a guy tonight he was 19 and 3. Struck him out 21 times on all star with Bob Feller. I struck out 14 times! Something has definitely felt different last couple nights for me. But I just chalk it up to either being tipsy (last night) or just a wonky connection with opponents

See, you are misconstruing what I said to an extent. No player in the game would have helped me with those Dibble innings. But, collection players would help with more hits and HR's. That is just common sense. My last BR run, Chipper hit 2 HR's against me not even in the PCI. Yes, I get those from other players but not at that frequency.

I don't this year. Last year it happened towards the end of the year, my assumption is they were changing servers around to prepare for 2021 (lot of good that did).
I am hard wired into my router, and my internet is very good (fiber). I also make sure nothing else is running in the background on my system, and I remove controller lag by making sure my controller is plugged in to the system.

What? I rarely use contact swing. Only if I see the other player using it all the time or runner on 3rd and I am just trying to get the run in. No need to get on here and lie.

I just won a game and came on here. Same thing. Doesn't matter if I win or lose. I win games because I can pitch. It surely isn't because I can hit a 110 mph fastball.

1440, 165, 1 ms monitor. HDR is off. I don't see a setting for allm or vrr. Monitor is LG27GL83A.

You have a monitor very similar to mine. I’m using a gigabyte m27q and I experience the same thing every once in a while that your describing and it’s probably something with the connection between you and whoever.
