Well it's pretty much ruining the game, but no need for hate mail.
I don’t see how it’s ruining the game, especially when I don’t buy the players directly, I usually buy packs unless my left over stubs have enough to complete a collection.
Some of these dudes don't have families and have all day/night to play. I'll eventually buy my team. They'll say we're wasting money, but what are they going to do about it? Complain? nothing new on here.

I think there would be less of these ppl complaining about "money spenders" if match making was half way decent.
A lot of ppl probably wouldnt be so quick to load up their team if they had to play similarly equal teams. That said, a god squad type team in MLB is less effective than, say, a game like madden because the game still comes down to who can hit and pitch better most of the time.

For me, part of the fun is earning all of the rewards or working the market to complete collections, but I know that isn't for everyone. I finally got SS Michael Young today in 19 which was my final market card. All with no additional money spent. Not all people play the game the same way though, and I can't find fault with someone who would rather throw some bucks into the game to get the cards they want faster so they can spent more time with that. I don't think that ruins the game.
This is the right mentality. To each their own. If I wanna spend my hard earned money on Mickey mantle, then stay tuned cause I’ll have him by Friday.

Why are you so concerned how people spend their money? I couldn't care less if people dropped thousands and thousands on this game or any other game or hobby. You do you and let people be.

It's ruining the game because people put money into online modes. So SDS ignores offline modes like franchise.

Here is how I feel about my bought team.
A lot of the players I bought I got from selling duplicate silver and bronzes that were inflated waaaaay above market price the first week or so. That got me pretty close to having every team to the at least 30/40 collection. B ought some packs, got a little lucky with a couple diamonds. Figure what the hell I will pump some money into the game and just complete the live series.
I am married with a kid. Full time job. When I get to play the game I want to play it under my terms with the players I want on my team. I'm not an elite player and I've been taken down by teams that were full of cards rated way lower than mine. Sometimes it simply doesn't matter. So really I find all the obsession with other peoples teams to be a waste of time.
