So you're new to the game and these forums so first, welcome! Second, you should know that this game is different and there are a bunch of ways to earn an excellent team and that generally on the forums we don't shame anyone for how they choose to spend their time or money or get lucky with pulls. You won't find many friendly responses from that approach. Also, you should know that anyone can check your game history and see that you lost 6-2 and were outhit 10-5 and only struck out 3 batters while striking out 12 times yourself and his team had a lot of cards only available by grinding so you stretched some truths/lied about some pointless facts in your post. I understand frustration, but take this as a learning opportunity and move on. I am by no means the sheriff of the forums or even a big poster so you do you, but don't expect much support.

Ross probably doesn't own many Lesters in The Show
Pretty sure it's an NHL team. Seattle already has a baseball team.

Hopefully one day you guys will become good enough at The Show where you can turn off the strike zone and stop using the PCI and just play Analog Stride
Keep practicing guys :).
I was an analog stride guy for a couple years. You're at the mercy of the attributes of your cards, it's not like there's a ton of skill needed there.
Step one: time the stride
Step two: time the swingAm I missing something?
Time your stride and then time your swing?...hmmm sounds familiar eh?...sorta like swinging an actual bat. Oh wait so most of you like moving a target around with a bullseye and pressing a button instead?...sorta like Duck Hunt?:). So are we here to play baseball or play Duck Hunt? :).
Right... if anyone here played real ball like you theyâd understand that itâs all timing the stride. No need for any hand eye coordination at all. Track the pitch? Pssshh You donât even really look at the pitch when youâre as good as you huh? Just master the pitchers timing like the true greats.
Jacoby Ellsbury has a very quick swing and his power really plays up. He's got 96 steal and speed so he usually gets good jumps and if you can prestige him he's very hard to catch. He's been my favorite leadoff hitter since his release.
@cellodan1_psn said in Whatâs the Salary for?:
Yeah, salaries are kind of pointless in this game. I have done one thing in the past to make the salary meaningful in at least one way. Take long term contracts at 30k/yr. This will allow your team to spend it on better complementary players. I know, itâs immersion breaking, but much of the game is these days...
Yeah this has been exactly what I do too. If contracts mean nothing, I'd rather the money go to lineup protection for my player.
Yes, do the Monthly Awards Moments for Corbin but find them in the Moments box in the "Play" tab, not the Collect tab and Programs box.
I can't remember who said it, but I once heard a manager say in a postgame that he'd stop running up the score if the other team agreed to not score any more runs as well. Makes sense. The Padres have had one of the worst bullpens in the league.
Actually, in the last couple years, stub sales cause a pretty big spike in card prices as everyone starts buying. So if you can spend a weekend without your stars, you can sell them off and buy them back cheaper. We'll see if this year is the same though.
Also, the 28th is a Tuesday. So we'll get the 5th inning as well as a new event I think next Friday and then the Honus collection on the following Tuesday. Make sure to tune into the SDS Twitch stream next Thursday for drops and hints.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I don't think we'll be able collect them in the next, but the rewards in this program after the boss pack aren't worth the risk. I'll hold onto mine just in case.
You can't complete stats missions from previous Stages, but If you do collect the last Topps now players, you can go back and complete the Collection for the stubs and the single pack, but I don't know if it will give you any points towards the actual program. Just FYI.
Scheduled Server Maintenance. Hopefully back up soon.
If all the missions are checked off, then make sure you didnât miss any hexagons somewhere. A lot of times they are hard to see. Good luck!

Create a Stadium question. Is there a way to get fireworks for Hrs? I tried the Cincinnati smoke stacks but nothing happened.
Thanks! You have to add Bert and the rest of those Chimeny guys.....then....and only then will the fireworks appear...if you build it....
Step in time!!

Playing on PS5 and on the score bugs and scoreboard around the stadium my logos arent visible anywhere. My friend playing on xbox is using and seeing his just fine
Have you set your logo up in the âcustomizeâ tab? Not the uniform part but the actual logo option below that?

I was 21 years old in â96. I remember the run very well! So well that Iâm still sick of the Yankees. One of my favorite moments was watching a very young Josh Beckett walk into Yankee Stadium and completely shut them down!! Still sick of em!
I remember being happy for Yankee fans in '96 after they had endured the 80s and early 90s. They were a team that had some young home grown players, a couple names, and reclaimation projects at that point. Charlie Hayes, Mariano Duncan, Ruben Sierra, Strawberry mixed in with Boggs, O'Neill, Tino, and youngsters like Jeter, Bernie, and Rivera.
What they became was a completely different animal. Clemens, Giambi, Mussina, Sheffield, Matsui, ARod, Contreras, El Duque, etc. If there was a bidding war, they would win it. The winning on the field was one thing, but then their ability to buy whoever they wanted on top of it was what really pushed most fans to the hatred of the franchise.
I agree! I'm not a Yankees fan, so I'm naturally inclined to hate them. One of the main reasons I hate them is that they pay to win, and they don't care if they go over the spending limit. It's just disgusting to me
Iâll never understand why a fan would want their owner of the team to save his or her money. Itâs not like if Steinbrenner saved his money I would have got a cut. I understand being annoyed that your team canât compete with a bigger market team, but I wouldnât call it disgusting. And I completely understand why the Yankees are hated. I hate the Patriots. But Spending limits help no one but the wealthy owners. You know the players arenât fans of caps and spending limits. Pay the man! And I want every dime the Steinbrennerâs have poured right into the team. Weâve certainly been burned by bad lengthy contracts, and I blame management for that, but I never want them to save their money so they can be more fair to other teams in the league.

I liked the rule, it was a good way to speed up regular season games in extra innings, created a level of drama⊠They werenât gonna use it in the post season anyway, just regular season⊠MLB season is a long marathon, why have these long extra inning games that go on for 6 hours ? itâs fair, both teams get the opportunity âŠ
Baseball is a long game because itâs baseball.
Actually the season is long, extra inning games can go on for a looooooooooooong time, having that player out on second speeds that up, and itâs fair because both teams get a chance ⊠I like the rule, MLB should keep it for the regular seasonâŠ
Funnily enough, this year actually set a new record for longest average game time.
I believe this stat is only for 9 inning games which obviously wouldnât be affected by the base runner rule. Iâm still not a fan of the rule for what itâs worth, but that might be because Iâm a Yankees fan and they really struggle with âsmall ballâ (among other things). I think I do like it in this game though. Nothing worse than a zero-zero event game in the 11th inning.
Lou Gehrig Triple Crown card should be a monster and I think the hint could mean Billy Wagner. I might have to commit to pushing for 30 wins this season. I imagine many people will be holding on to these rewards instead of selling.
