Lee Smith. I like how fast his pitching motion is, especially grinding offline. I can't believe how stacked my bullpen is already this year.

Lee Smith will likely be in your bullpen all year.

Lee Smith is easily the choice for the inning Boss. Jason Bay’s swing is trash and the card plays down from his attributes.

I took Smith but I want to pick up Donny as well. His splits against righties are good enough I think and I like high defense players. If nothing else he can come off the bench as a PH and into the game as a late double switch if I want to upgrade defense. Using 42 Ruth at 1st right now who is doing fine for me but I also hang around in the mid tiers of ranked.

Although my lineup is lefty heavy, I'm going with Lee Smith. There are so many good OF options. Smith will stay on my roster much longer.

It’s a [censored] shoot. Goose, Mo and the likes still got lit up last year. To me relievers are a dime a dozen. My most effective relieves this year have been Franco and Hoffman. Everyone seems to be able to hit fastballs these days

Seriously. I rarely throw fastballs bc of this. The funny thing is that I can’t seem to catch up to the fastball in half my games. I can’t figure out if it’s me or the connection. I hit the off speed pretty well other than sliders away. I got to lay off them lol

Yea brotha. I can’t touch anything like 98 and above. I just went up against guy with Feller and I struck out 17 times. He legit just spammed fastball 90% of the time and even with me knowing I couldn’t do [censored] with those 99/100 mph fastballs to save my life

I sounds like you’re probably dealing with some pretty bad input lag. If you’re gaming on a TV you seriously need to reconsider that decision. It’s really hard to be competitive in this game if your not using a gaming monitor. And you’ll never be able to catch up to those fastballs on a run of the mill television.

At tier 5 Lee Smith will have 38 stamina. Not only will he be a stud in you no, but LIng term he can turn in 2 innings every now and then or be usable for one inning every game.

Despite the beautiful card art for Lee Smith and his ratings, I remember getting lit up w him online last year, (that’s just my personal experience tho)

I picked Mattingly. Always loved him in real life - and after a slow start, I’m doing a lot better w him after I paralleled up a level w him. I just seem to be getting better contact w him, and like his real-life stats that year, I’m getting a lot of extra base hits in the gap w him. Very happy w my selection. 😉

just wondering who you all have been picking, imo smith will be in my pen for a long long time but due to recent pack luck of chapman and hader, and the free picks of mo and matt barnes I dont feel the need as much to get another reliever.
that being said ive heard bays swing is a bit wonky and having buxton, belli, and harper in the OF would make me have to bench harper or do some swapping with gallo being benched. any and all takes are ideal thanks

While I would bench Harper for Bay, I would still take Smith. Hader and Chapman are lefties. No right handed RP's close to Smith and you can get him to a 99.
