beat a top rated player for this season. hit pretty for once and now my PS messenger is getting hit with insults. ramone helped me...... etc. can't you just take your loss like a man. definetly didnt cheese this guy into a loss. brutal to see this honestly.
Are you in anyway surprised. You hear all of the self proclaimed “elite” complain about how their input should matter more and how they should win more because non-Elites beat them. They are whiny and entitled. Good for you for sticking it to them
More than "elite" players want their input to matter more, I'm definitely not elite and I want my input to matter more, as do a lot of average players
If you ask anyone if they want their input to "matter", it's an obvious yes. The problem is, people can't agree on how they want that brought about.
Some higher-level players want it to come about through making the lower difficulties faster and harder, not realizing that it alienates some of the base and that you can't base most of the game based on the elite atlent. That's not really the answer, but 600 is a lot closer to the "top" than the bottom, it shouldn't be too much to ask that it play like it as well.

As far as I'm concerned, I dont care if Notorious or Rebel bat .900 in wildcard on their way to WS. They'll be in that division for a few games and then they move on.
It might actually help that the seasonal drop would be at max 1 division (if at all). So after the first season the elite guys would never play on all star difficulty for the rest of the year. This would also mean that SDS wouldn't have to resort to RNG in the lower divisions to prevent unrealistically good batting lines. Instead people would just sort themselves into divisions that reflect their actual skill.

Notorious hasn't lost an actual game all year, pretty crazy stuff

183-10 and apparently the 10 are disconnects where he got a loss, pretty ridiculous

What else is new.... a lot of those top guys win 9 out of 10 games and when they lose one all hell breaks loose

Ah good show, here to derail another post, you've shut down 4 already

I'm also a non elite player that wants good input to be rewarded. Pretty sure a lot more than just the elite players want it.

Turning PS messages off has been a real blessing.
Not only does it prevent others from sending me dumb angry messages, but it prevents me from potentially sending a message in the heat of the moment that I will undoubtedly regret later.

I wish I took that good advice a few months ago. I had a weirdo message me out of the blue demanding that I look into what some user was writing on the old site.

Well I guess we know where this thread is going now...

You're right. The top players are sore losers. They will blame the game when they lose. I remember watching pitching rebels stream couple years ago and he was blaming the game when he was losing. It's always been like this. This is why I don't care who the top players are. Means nothing. I have more respect for the average player who plays straight up and doesn't quit when losing.
And the followers who send messages to you, they're even bigger losers.
Rebel has definitely changed from a couple years ago. I think he’s just accepted that this is how the game is going to go.
I have respect for people who don’t quit while losing...
Aside from DCs I have not quit a game since 17. It's my code, if I'm down a ton I'll just throw a position player out there until I'm mercied.

But hate mail is soooooo much fun. But yeah sending it is a no no. There have been times I've wanted to but the better half of me suggested otherwise.

Even had that Jerzey Network guy message me post game because I almost beat him. He was crying that the game should of not been so close. smh.
-
Yeah, I took the recommendation to turn of messages last year and have not regretted it.

I beat YourFriendKyle yesterday. Watch his stream, he completely ignored that I was taking pitches just off the plate and having good ab's and complained that he wasn't being rewarded for good input
