Pack Odds and expected returns

Honestly fellas I see a lot of posts on this and the 1:50 odds for diamond does not ring a bell. Each pack costs 1500 stubs and the bronze, silver, and gold prices for majority of the cards are at the minimum sell now price. Opening day and weekend that was not the case. Those cards were 3-4X higher so you can get your majority of your stubs back for that pack. If you pull a diamond you will be even or slightly better than what you paid.
I hope everyone pulls Trout in the next pack, but then his price will be 5000 stubs.

I will always say packs are nerfed when they are nerfed like they are now. I open a lot of packs and have people on my friends list that do as well so I can tell.
That said this game does offer a lot of rewards and allows you to buy in game currency without having to gamble your money to do it. So in that regards it is leaps and bounds above its cohorts.
It’s a love/hate relationship.

I make stubs from the game and I do buy bundles out of curiosity after the launch. Maybe they nerf it based on the amount of currency out there, which makes a lot of sense.

The problem isn't that the nerfed the packs. The problem is they nerfed them and still haven't changed the odds 1:50 for a diamond is just a lie at this point.
That being said I still buy them because the rest of the game is boring. Offline is monotonous online is rng and stressful. The rewards they give you are great, but by the time average gamers get to those rewards they are usually next to worthless. We still have 2 weeks left in 2nd inning and for $100 you can buy all 3 bosses and a bundle.
Flipping cards is a joke too. Your best chance at making any money in the market is to buy a bunch of cards of a player who is performing well and hope and pray that sds doesn't make a topps now or potm version of that card (yermin, martinez, burnes, vlad jr ect..). They would rather make another card than to allow people whi watch baseball to cash in on a good investment. Either that or spam flip cards like Trevor megil for 250 profit at a time, which again, is monotonous.
At this point I dont know if im still playing because I enjoy the game or because im financially invested in it.

Yea they aren’t performing close to 1:50 right now. My pack luck was ridiculous this year but even I’m telling my boys now If you get 1:50 you’re lucky and then it’s just a 20k diamond or lower. They’re definitely trying to clear stubs out because it’s set at 100% stub drain and their own odds, probabilities or whatever you want to call them be damned.
I guess it’s whatever. Would have been cool for them to plug the glitch hole in rtts before beefing the packs tho. Show some priorities.

I don't buy this. There is way too much scrutiny on these types of games and microtransactions that a company posting incorrect odds would be opening themselves up to all kinds of legal trouble, if not in the US then in other countries.

Exactly; here in Canada, especially Quebec, those laws are severe (plus its marketed towards kids) and why we can’t get into some contests, like those daily missions for gear. If it were fraudulent, we wouldn’t be able to buy stubs with real money.

I did another 100 packs yesterday - 7 diamonds (1 from BIAH)
I sold all the diamonds and got another 100 packs and got 1 diamond

I used to, but I realized how painful it was to feel like I wasted 75k on the times I didn't pull a diamond, and now whenever I'm tempted, I just remind myself of that feeling. I realized I only liked packs when I pulled something cool, and even then most of the times that cool pull still didn't equal to 75k.
