I fully agree with you, I’m only a franchise but have been playing this game for a longtime and the hitting physics in this game are really bad I’m not that great of a hitter but can still win some really close games. One thing that has really been a let down still this year is there is still no real system in franchise to train players and develop your young players and make some of your teams role players better and that is something that has been missing for a few years now also that makes the spring training part of the season pretty much meaningless.
Did they take training out?

I'm absolutely an average player at best and I know that so if or when I go into ranked or events, I know I'm going to lose most of the time and tey to do the best I can. I try to practice and do all the offline stuff.
People have to face facts, some people just aren't good enough at the game to compete, simply put. I'm not, I know it and I enjoy the game.
I’m in the same boat; went full time DD in 19 (offline strictly since 08) and made CS; lasr year I played maybe 50-60 games tops because I found it horrible, this year loving it since the servers are stable there’s been practically no lag. I’m about .550 player overall since 19 and loving it. I’ll probably never make WS so what?

No they did not take training out but It’s still basically useless in a franchise same thing with the spring training part of that mode.

Rookie level in DD is easy. And I'm old and going blind. Good heavens how easy do you want it?

I don’t need it to be easier because I already think there are too many homers during most games I play and have lowered the power sliders that has helped with that but the ball physics in this years game are just bad and have already seen a ton of other players already comment on that but don’t need the game to be easier just want more realistic outcomes

Gamers these days want their hands held and demand instant gratification, the rise of noobs is real...like 15 years ago games were tough as hell...you actually had to practice to get good now these casuals want to be amazing after 5 hours of playing.

LOL these post just never end! I just don't get it! The game being difficult drives me to want to get better! I don't have the time to do it like I used to but I'm still doing what I can. This game is amazing and these crybabies can't even appreciate that. They have no idea the basic [censored] I had to play back in the day with dial up internet lol

This year's version is extremely disappointing. I only play online and I feel that the winner is predetermined by first pitch. Mistake pitches don't amount to positive results yet your opponent will have success with balls outside of the PCI. Regardless of whether you hit with power swing (square) or X. Even if 90% of your swings are good or perfect they are going to end up being outs. Unless you're the predetermined winner. I have been playing MLB The Show since it's debut in '06 and it had it's issues through the years but through the years improvements were made. I thought they would have it right by now but they totally missed the mark with this one. outside of the graphics the game is trash.

And for the record MLB The Show 21 online played fluid and true to the game during its early release and then it progressively got worse. I know I am not the only player experiencing games in which no matter what adjustments you make, how many balls you square up, the end result is an out. Then to add insult to injury your opponent can't seem to make an out even pitches bounced on the ground get fouled and then a ball up and in gets hit 400 feet with late timing and ball not squared up at all. But that's realistic, right???? The game is absolute trash.

Yes it is. I see the baserunning and just lmao as that is not even remotely like real baserunning except that they run in a diamond shape. Honestly if you know and love the true game its unplayable. All these get good bums make me laugh the most, i play on the hardest difficulty for pitching and batting and have some of the same issues these other posters are complaining about. This game is a joke and wont get better because of these clowns.

Only reason SO many players are claiming the game is off and sucksss.. is cause of thee simple fact that they cranked down what we know as sliders, for us.

I am also an average player and lose a lot of the challenges but still enjoy the game. Mostly I do franchise and once in a blue moon I’ll try the challenges. To be honest I often wonder what’s the use of collecting the cards?

Offline the game plays fine other than occasional goofy animations. Online is a completely different ballgame… awful and still doesn’t reward skill vs RNG. I’m not the best by any means but my players are mostly around 300-350 batting average yet I consistently lose to dudes batting at the Mendoza line. Mainly Bc they use degrom or Cabrera and get a few lucky bombs on my. They also spam the fastball over and over in the same spot and I can’t touch it. IMO if you don’t know how to properly pitch or progress through sequencing, and spam over and over, you should get shelled

I'm not very good myself but I still enjoy it. I have post concussion issues and have difficulty with my reflexes and hand eye coordination. I play rookie and veteran modes and do just fine and enjoy the game. I don't think it would be fair to those who are excellent at this game to have it generally simplified to make it easier for everyone to have success at the highest levels. You just can't do that.
