3 games in a row now my opponent has disconnected before the HR lands. I am happy with the win, but just let it land and then quit. I hope they don't get any progress for anything when this happens.

For as long as SDS doesn't impose any sort of penalty on dashboarding online (like they do with MTO), this will always happen.

They can’t; it’s a console feature and they can’t differentiate between a power outage, network disconnect and such. But since most of the time the hr is generated as the ball leaves the bat save the odd hr steal at the wall, they should register it.

I dont get why ppl cant wait 7 seconds an quit when the ball lands. Why bother doin the dashboard an wait for the game to reload would be about the sametime as just quitting. I think quitting is great i wish more ppl would do it but dashboardin is kinda dumb

My favourite is when the ball lands before the dashboard.

They do it so your HR won't count. The extra time is worth it for the satisfaction of knowing they pissed you off.

4th game in a row now haha. I wasn't even winning this time, and all the opponent did was bunt, steal, and abuse the terrible throwing in this game...

Yes they can.. If a person has a certain percentage of disconnects then they lose online privalges for a certain amount of time. Other sports games already do this.

Home Runs are so ridiculously excessive, I'm not sure why this is a problem. You'll probably hit 7 of them the very next game.

It's a problem because the last 4 HR I have hit online have not counted because of this. So I argue the disconnect is equally excessive. I have close to as many HR not counted as counted due to this.

Yes but he’s talking about the stats counting, not bans

It's not about the waiting... it's a rage quit. Just had a guy do this to me bout an hour ago. I hit what was gonna be a two run bomb with George Brett and he quit before it even left the infield... Pretty sure a controller and a T.V. got broken on that one. I think it's hilarious 🤣😆. If u can't handle losing then don't play the game...

@pbake12_PSN Disconnects and Quitters is apart of the online gaming landscape. 40% of hits resulting in home runs is not apart of the MLB landscape. We should all request SDS to fix their game (a slider tweak is all they need) and maybe less people will quit? I get sick of losing 4-3 games where my opponent hit 4 homers including a walkoff, then firing up another game just to have my very first pitch go 2 feet outside the strike zone and still get taken over the wall for a no doubt homer. With this level of home run frequency, I don't see any reason why someone couldn't just hit 100 bombs playing home run derby.

Imagine if Madden was nothing but 80 yard touchdown passes.

Not really sure I agree with this. Actual baseball has turned into a bit of an all or nothing game. It mostly depends on where you’re playing. You gonna play all your games at shippet or laughing mountain you’re going to see some bombs. Especially on the lower difficulty levels

^^meant to quote the guy you were replying to

This is not the topic of my original post, keep this no sense elsewhere. Plus if it is so common, why is everyone getting so mad on the only HRs I hit? You are probably disconnecter because you hate HR so much.

@timshady10_PSN I already looked up the numbers. Roughly 16% of hits in the MLB are home runs, meaning we'd still have to cut the numbers in half (based on the 30% plus of hits I'm giving up being home runs) I don't care about the diamond power hitters littering nearly every lineup...I have fantastic pitching that would theoretically even this out. Really, all you need to know...the majority of my home runs this year have come on CONTACT SWINGS.

@pbake12_PSN Here's some "no sense" for you.......Kenny Roger's Roasters should be an American only establishment as he was an American singer, the headquarters in located in Georgia and they're serving hearty American meals...it makes no sense why the only locations is in Malaysia.

Back to the "yes sense." This isn't only happening to you...that assumption tells me you're a little on the younger side and your brain hasn't fully developed to where you'd understand the full scope of this problem (also your grammatical errors). The frequency of home runs has a lot of players disgruntled. It's such a small problem in the sense that it's an easy fix, but it's also a massive problem that's enough to ruin the game for half the players. Chances are, if someone quits on you, they probably jumped into the game with a bitter attitude and the slightest thing that goes wrong will result in them quitting and probably quit playing for the rest of the day. I personally haven't been quick enough to quit before someone's home run goes over the wall. I don't hate HR, I hate HR frequency. Think of it like salt. A pinch of salt on some fries or a steak is fantastic. But a cup of salt? That would ruin the fries or steak.
