I am not very good at this game. I own and I admit that, I'm like a 400 or 500 skill level in head to head. If that. I very often struggle to make hits and score runs.
I've accepted that I'm not that good and I still enjoy building a team by doing all the offline content, And then I like to go online occasionally with my team and see if I can get some wins.
The showdown mode broke me. I ended up uninstalling the game because of it.. that game mode is actually quite fun but it's all or nothing nature is extremely frustrating for bad or new players. You can spend an hour on a run and if you don't beat the final boss you get literally nothing. Maybe some XP but that's it.
I really feel like if you make it to the final boss and lose you should still get at least one ticket I mean what's one ticket it's nothing. But it's better than literally nothing... If you win you should get five and if you lose you should get one. Maybe make it so you can't skip to the end(and still get the 1 guaranteed ticket) if you're worried about people just cheesing to get one ticket. But if you actually play through it all beat the middle boss and then lose in the final getting nothing is heartbreaking.
It happened to me four times in a row and that combined with the fact that I suck and lose online all the time I was just like what am I doing with my life why am I playing this game.
I hope this feedback is well received If a change such as this were to be made I will probably reinstall and come back because at least then I could feel like I could grind away and get the characters I want even if I'm bad and I lose to the boss half the time or more.

OP - if you are playing on a TV make sure it's on Game Mode if you haven't already. I used to be TERRIBLE at hitting... like couldn't consistently beat a conquest game. Late on everything. Bad enough that I didn't even try to play DD last year. I changed my TV to Game Mode this year per recommendation of someone on a thread early on and immediately I was wildly early on everything. It took some adjusting, and I won't pretend like I am all of a sudden a WS player, but it was a drastic improvement in my experience and since then I have really enjoyed playing the game including Showdowns.

Honestly, I received the same exact feedback I'm giving from last years game...so whatever to those that are going to feed a whining person that can't beat a simple showdown. Just keep playing and you'll beat it.

It always amazes me when somebody struggles in a game people that talk down to them and tell them to get good. Like if showdowns are super easy for these people what does it matter to them if SDS made them easier for OP? It would just be easier for people who already say it’s super easy and OP would enjoy it. I guess those people can’t feel superior anymore.
Anyway if it makes you feel better OP I am 22-7 in ranked season in the 700s. Out of the 7 losses one was my second game I quit in 1st because I was testing something, 4 were in hall of fame, and 2 were in all star. Not the greatest player but you would think good enough to hit on veteran. And I’m not sure how many showdowns I’ve failed in a row. Had to do 2nd inning one 3 times before I could pass it.

showdown is incredibly easy - by far the easiest compared to other years games - this OP is typical of what is wrong with younger generations today - they always want the rewards without putting the work in

Or maybe and it’s quite possible the game isn’t good. I’m in a mini thing right now. Need 6 total. So far have 1 and 4 outs. Out of 4 outs I’ve slammed 2 balls good and inside the pci off center and slammed one for a hr that was robbed. What part of this is fixed by getting good? Everything should be perfect perfect and hope they don’t make a diving catch or rob a homerun? I’m truly interested because I can tell you I’m not bad at the game but I’m f’ing tired of playing it. Idk maybe they want only a handful of people playing.

Showdowns are the hardest offline content for DD. Don't beat yourself up.

I don't think this is really that big of a deal.
I have a 43inch 4k TV that is probably 5 years old.
I set the TV input to "gaming mode" which reduced input lag.
I think this setting on a TV is more important than buying a computer monitor, or at least [censored] near the same. I would check this setting on your TV. -

Well he was 80-100 last year alone in Ranked so I can only imagine... Always amazes me that people don't know you can look up their history and stats... Kinda comical. But what wpuld you expect from someone who chooses thaghettoblasta as a gametag hahha.

Just wanted to tell you i don't think any less of you, just think there should be more tactfulness as a whole on this forum. Not just you everyone, myself included. This needs to be a discussion forum, not bash each other b/c we don't agree forum.

First, I’m pretty sure all you need to do is beat the first mini mission or two to get your stubs back, so it’s not “all or nothing”.
Second, with all due respect to yankblan, auto-taking to two strikes with every hitter is not universal good advice. If you are going to do that, make sure you have those perks equipped.
Taking pitches is good. Taking good pitches in hitter’s counts is not good.

sounds like a participation trophy, never been a fan of those.
