Not saying I don’t like it, but it feels like the hitting from Legend difficulty of last year.
I love the game this year, though. I’ve been playing since MLB 17, and this is the best version of online play it’s ever had.
Are you referring to Ranked seasons or vs CPU?

Ok and if you are HOF rember them saying if you match up against higher ranked person that would level u will play on. So it's possible your opponent was WS and that in fact is legend right?
I mean nah I just played a straight HOF game and it’s ridiculously hard

You’re correct in how it works, but no, each time my opponent was in the 700’s. HOF is just hard, lol.

I’m currently 14-0, about to cross the threshold into the 700’s. It’s all downhill from here.

I struggled at first with HOF
Went into BP on legend against live series Corbin Burnes and sat there for at least 30-45 min until I could get the timing and a good approach down
Just made a run in RS tonight, 6 wins in a row all on HOF but I think pinpoint pitching has really changed the game. Being able to pitch effectively has made working counts more important than ever
No doubt it’s harder to hit this year but as OP said, this is the best online play I’ve experienced and also been playing since 17. Love how the game plays

I almost posted this tonight. I finally made ds today and was excited to see how I would do on HOF. In the first game, the guy quit after two innings. Then I proceeded to go 0-4 ans might as well have just closed my eyes. Now, I was also paired up with some decent competition and it did get better towards the end. But, yeah, it was definitely an eye opener.

I think it seems so hard at first just bc youre used to playing on all star for so many games. At least thats what I think is always my problem when first breaking DS. I really hate the switch in difficulties for different ranks. I wish everything was just on HOF, the adjustment between ranks is just too brutal

Agreed, some times I look up my opponents stats out of curiosity and there are some guys that are absolute buns with like .300 averages. I feel like all star is way easier this year and HOF is slightly harder

This game will be mostly unplayable for me then at those levels. I'm already flustered with my tiny pci on all-star. lol

The worst part is after struggling for half the game, you finally start making solid contact, but the pitchers confidence is so high, that even if he hangs something the ball will not be hit like it should be.

Agreed and I’ve only played spring training games in franchise mode. I’ve changed the difficulty down to all-star hitting for the first time since 17. Bumped up to legend pitching though to compensate.
