Ballplayer and Equipment Q&A

Where you can actually see the equipment attribute bonuses added into you overall attributes while playing in a game. Like while batting you see full contract attribute added up archetype + perks + equipment?
The only thing I have seen is that when batting, if you swing at a ball, a brief window appears which shows your timing relative to the pitch. On that graphic is a small bar above the graphic which shows your effective CON and PWR against that pitcher. You can then view your Player Card (pause, triangle, R2) and see if that CON and PWR is either the "base" value or the "base + '+'" value. If the former, you are not getting equipment bonus. If the latter, you are a lucky guy and you are.
The reason I used the Speed/Stealing numbers in my question to Grizz is because it's easier to get to in-game. You don't have to rely on a brief graphical display.
Hope this helps.

What Moose said is exactly my experience. To add to what he said you can also tell you are for me 18 speed attribute points slower in RTTS than same setup in DD game. So even though it shows +18 over my speed or whatever attribute it’s not working in RTTS.

Okay - I'll give the Q&A format a try and describe this issue. Let me know if you are seeing something different.
I have multiple different Archetypes I'm working on. What I am about to describe works the same on all of them. For purposes of discussion, I'll use my "Slugger" Archetype as an example. When I check my player card with this archetype loaded, his Speed is 60 and Steal is 55; also, there are + numbers above the blue bar which are +16 speed and +17 steal. I believe, with a high degree of certainty, that the + numbers are derived from the cumulative effect of the gear which is part of the "loadout" that I have selected for him. I can demonstrate this by removing the gear (cleats and socks) which add to Speed and Stealing. When I remove said gear, and go back to his player card - just shows 60 and 55 with no + numbers above. Put the gear back, the + numbers are back.
When I play this character in DD mode and get on base, I pause the game by hitting the Options button. It displays his Speed as 76 (which just so happens to be the sum of 60 and 16) and his Steal as 72 (again, the sum of 55 and 17).
However, when I play this same archetype in RTTS mode and get on base, I again pause the game. It now shows me a Speed of 60 and Steal of 55. This leads me to believe that the equipment bonuses he should be receiving are not being applied.
So - my question is this: are you seeing the same behavior or different? Because I and many others (based on threads previously posted) are not seeing gear bonuses applied in RTTS mode.
This was tricky so forgive me for slow response. My scenario i went from RTTS to DD. So i just went into game directly to RTTS and equipment was active, perks were active, stats from AA and AAA were there, quirks were listed.

You went from RTTS to DD and gear worked in DD then you went back to RTTS and gear worked? Is that what you are saying?

Correct

For every game or just one?

I played 4 9 inning games vs CPU earlier when i told people i would check it out and try to see where problem was no issues. And i lirerally just played 1 game in RTTS no issues when moose asked his question.

Hmmm.... well, maybe it's a platform thing. I happen to be on a PS4. Couldn't find a 5 without paying "scalper" prices.
That said I just played a 3 game series with my slugger archetype. Game #1 of the series - no equipment bonus. Game #2 - equipment bonus. Game #3 I was rested and didn't get to play. But hey - I'm not making this up. I'm sure @SGMRock_XBL isn't either. I doubt anyone else who is posting about this is making it up either. Anyway, if it's working for you @GrizzBear55_PSN then good on you man. But it's not working consistently for me. And it is very consistently NOT working in the first game of each series.

I never once thought you were making it up. I'm on ps4 as well.

Have you found a way to use your ballplayer at a position that isn't listed at the primary on your archetype in DD? Every time I put a player at a spot that is listed as his secondary they play like an out of position player in game making errors or if at catcher unable to even catch a pitch. In the squad screen it shows "secondary position" but that's not how they perform in game.

Yes my 3rd baseman to catcher using Diamond Iron Man. In fact two of those games i mentioned above were catcher, game 1 my pitcher was righty game 2 was a lefty and he dropped a ball once.

What position are you trying to do? 3rd to catcher?
-
I don't remember exactly. It had C listed as the first secondary position on the archetype and when I went into game with him at catcher he dropped every pitch.

Well then explain your process of setting up your player? I am genuinely trying to help you. I don't want to just sit here and keep saying it's working for me and not you. Let's figure this out!

Tried this. Went into DD with my Ballplayer at 1B primary position. All equipment attribute bonuses working. Went out of DD back to RTTS right away playing a game. Same broken issues. Again I’m on Xbox Series X version.

Ok try this. We will use my example mine is 3rd primary. When i went in game in my lineup i had 3rd baseman on bench. I swapped my CAP with player putting my cap on bench. Then took CAP and swapped with catcher it worked. So making sure it wasn't a bug i then went to my DD depth chart found catcher secondary and put him in catcher spot and again no dropped balls. Stats, quirks everything listed. This was also my 3rd base iron man loadout.

How many loadouts do you have created?
-
A single load out.
