As the subject says it would be really great if you could release a bug fix for equipment not working in RTTS. Had this game since early access and I’m so tired of my nice diamond equipment doing nothing for me. Many, many others have posted on this in the RTTS forum but still no acknowledgement on this major bug from the SDS team. Would be great if we could get something on when this might get fixed.

Couple things they left out where mentioned above but just to add I also see that gear isn’t adding in to My Ballplayer OVR and that customization of gear constantly gets reverted. Like two batting gloves or compression sleeves on both arms. Color changes at least seem to stick as far as I can tell. It is annoying that I bought gear and perks off market and not sure if the stats even work in game. The profile system changes between games in series doesn’t change right and of course the did at least address the broken archetype progression. That progression issue should be a hot fix quickly as it’s limiting most if not all enjoyment in RTTS right now.
Last but not least I hope our pitchers get some path to learn that 4th and 5th pitch at some point.

While there is no difference in UI between the consoles (Aside from features) what you noticed in the Player Card seems to actually just be a bug which we will look into now. Thank you!
Could you guys post a known bugs list please. Would go a long way with the community to know what is on your radar. Like the equipment bug for RTTS that is driving us all crazy.
They broke the progress system with first patch I’m pretty sure that’s about the time I noticed it not working. To bad we can’t just roll back the patch. That is what we do in the IT world when you have a bad release on a change, you roll it back until you can fix the issue and redeploy.
I think this is a bigger problem because you can’t have a secondary position because of the whole 2 way player thing.
The archetype system is silly going with the whole new two way player theme in RTTS. I mean you can be a golden glove SS in one game with fair hitting and good speed, in next game you can be a mid speed sparking slugger DH triple crown batter, then in next game a Cy Young pitcher that all of a sudden forgot he is also a golden glove infielder or great batter.
I mean you should be that same player at every position!
I agree it’s a silly system. I created a franchise with a created player to mimic my RTTS player. Then I play it in player lock mode with my created player with the franchise all on automatic. At least this gives me a true offline mode to play when servers suck.
Try changing your My Ballplayer to right handed, start a new RTTS career. Once you pick catcher and play at least one game as a right hander, so the save takes, switch your My Ballplayer to lefty and see how that works.
Lots of game crashes reported in this thread during RTTS games.

Base running kills me in this game. Even when I steal a base half the time I get a -steal when I take off for god knows why. And when you get a successful steal or dive back to base you should get + steal! Also maybe I don’t know the buttons well enough but I hate that you can’t see the 3rd base coach sometimes. Mt Steal and BR aggressive stats are still base 30 after a couple hundred games.

Can confirm this still happens. Starting pitcher from AA. Pitch my way to the Blue Jays. Pitch five starts or so with the Jays.
Got a cutscene about being called the next Ohtani (okay, that's weird).Next game has me a DH. Finish the game, suddenly I have a save file conflict.
Extremely frustrating. This is some EA Sports-level stuff.
That is exactly what happened to my SP only Ballplayer.
They should add to your overall so you actually can see it. It was the same [censored] last year.
This is stupid. So you basically still have to make a 2 way player like last year but say you only want to pitch. Ridiculous because the same thing just happened to me and now I have to screw with my rookie season to try and fix it.

That’s how stats work in real life. If you don’t get enough at bats, you won’t show up on the BA and slugging leaderboards. You have to average at least 3.1 ABs per team game played. If you only bat in 3 out of 5 games, you’ll be under the threshold.
For a while, my guy also led the league in hits but didn’t show up on most hitting categories.I’m batting in 4 out of 5 games. The 5th being a pitching game. Sometimes I even bat in the pitching games if against a NL team. I have 359 at bats right now in 96 games. So isn’t that more than 3 at bats per 1 game average? I bat 3rd in the order so I normally get at the least 4 AB a game up to 6 sometimes. I’m actually Yth on my team in total ABs so far this season.
Is that 359 at bats in 96 games that your player has hit in, or 96 games that your team has played? The rule is that at the end of the season you need to average 3.1 at bats per TEAM game, meaning 162 games, not the amount of games you hit in. That means to qualify for a batting title you must finish the season with at least 502 at bats. If you hit 4 out of every 5 games, that’s 129 or 130 games hitting for the season, depending on the rotation. If you’re the ace then you’re hitting in 129 games, and that’s assuming you get no days off on the bench. If you get exactly 4 at bats each game you hit in, that’s 518 at bats for the season, which is cutting it close to the minimum. A day off here and there, a few more games with only 3 at bats as opposed to 5 or more at bats, and you might fall under the 502 at bat minimum. Check the team games played and divide your at bats by that to see what you average per game. If you’re under 3.1, that’s the reason. If you’re above 3.1, then it’s a bug that they should fix.
Team has played 110 games so far this season. I have played all 110. 22 of them as pitcher, the other 88 as DH or LF. I have 413 ABs. The Leaderboards don’t have me listed under Batting Average, on base percentage, slug %, OPS, or batting WAR even though according to my player card stats I should be number 1 or in top 5 of all of those. I am listed on the hits, AB (20th in AL), doubles, triples, HRs, RBIs, Runs, and stolen bases lists.
So based on that , all the leaderboards that require 3.1 ABs per team games seem bugged when you are two way player with primary as a Starting Pitcher. Would you agree?

It is unreal how often the computer will bunt if you are a catcher first baseman or third baseman. At least 6 times a game for me
Yes I think it’s the game manufacturing opportunities for you the get in fielding. Like when I’m catcher they pop up a lot too. What’s funny is they seem scripted. If you get a pop up foul as catcher and for some reason you don’t catch it, they will pop up again on the next pitch.
@xtbird04x_psn said in Still having progression problems:
yea but I am not stealing Home when I hit that triple...lol
Yes you just have to deal with the time sink there. If you use Next Appearance it will screw you out of archetype progression and XP for the 2nd base program if you care about that.
@xtbird04x_psn said in Still having progression problems:
i didn't until i had a speedster...but I see what your saying. SD needs to fix that issue soon!!!!!
Use the lead runner setting so you only have to control your runner when you actually can get steals.
The batting order seems mostly set by overall rating and power vs contact from what I can tell, also speed plays some factor. Overall seems the main driver though.
@xtbird04x_psn said in Still having progression problems:
what do you mean next appearance? like should I go back to the screen where you can see the stats or should I watch the full game?
Like when you get on base do you pause and pick the Next Appearance button along the top menu.
