Babe Ruth keep or sell?
-
An outfield of Ruth, Mays and Griffey will more than suffice defensively
-
Griffey has had some questionable animations in the outfield and from what I’ve watched online Ruth hasn’t hurt much defensively. If you need the stubs then sell, but id go w Ruth if I was good enough to make WS lol
-
Ruth is a game breaker at the plate. I'd try to find a spot for him. Hard to sit Griffey, but if you have two other speedy outfielders, I would.

How is he for you guys? Just got him tonight. Currently have Griffey in LF not sure if Ruth is worth playing over Griffey. Any reviews?
Keep him. I sold because he didn’t fit the mold of my team at the time and still doesn’t, but in the 3 games I used him he did the following
2 run walk off home run lefty lefty
4-7 with two double and a game tying home run, plus 5 2/3 scoreless innings in the mound (on legend, plus he has Walter Johnson’s delivery so if you ever end up in a marathon game, he suffices as a position player pitching)The defense never hurt me and he just flat out hits, I’d keep. Your line up, he’d probably sit pretty well in the 5 hole or 3 hole

I didn't like him as he was hitting 230 for me
I checked out my stats with him the other day and the thing was he had 23 AB's and 13 of them were vs rightys and 10 of them were vs leftys. Vs rightys he was hiting 375 and leftys was nada.
Considering picking him up again but Teddy is a cheaper alternative who I hit very well with from both sides of the plate

Do u think 23 ABs is enough to accurately judge the card?

I mean, 23 Ab's was good enough for me to judge Tedy and he has been amazing

I just think it's an ignorant way to judge a card because it's such a small sample size. You don't know if things would have turned around with Ruth. You also don't know if you'll hit a big slump with Ted. I mashed with Ted at first but ended up selling because I realized I didn't like him over a larger sample size

My best hitter, lefty vs lefty killer, and you know he already mashes righties. I'm running Ruth, Mays and Griffey/Bellinger
-
What would you do with the stubs? Is there anybody on your team that you’d like but don’t have?

Yeah the other option I'm considering is selling Ruth which would get me more than enough stubs to pick up SS Sale
-
i love babe no errors so far but 1 i believe tons of games
i also love SS Sale would never give up on the squad - sale is more rare to see too easy to get both for ya
-
hits .500 for me in 200 AB
-
Keep!! He the best player in gm
-
sale is such a beast. randomized pitching hurts his value I think. I feel like babe hits a HR every game for me. I sold babe for sale and thought it was a good idea until I made WS a 2nd time picked babe and thought how could I sell this guy lol
-
Keep the BAMBINO!

Sale over Ruth imo
-
Every game player vs someone that you may get once in 15 games, Sale is also overrated, only 4 pitches, 3 when you have some people’s seeming unwillingness to throw 2 seamers in the game, pretty easy to hit off of.
-
It’s not so much a Ruth vs Sale.
Ruth and Williams are similar and having them both in an OF is putting yourself at a severe defensive disadvantage. Plus if you are buying Sale there are fewer of them so therefore the price will hold. So if you really don’t like him you can buy Ruth and have stubs left over.
In terms of pure performance Sale can make hitters look foolish. Mix all of his positions and don’t fall in love with the down and in slider. Throw that thing to all corners
-
I have Sale and haven't used Ruth. I'm sure Ruth's bat is insane, but his defense wouldn't hold on my roster. The downside to Sale is you really don't want to go more than 6 innings and 5 is even more ideal. On the randomization of starters, I feel it all balances out, you might not get a starter to go once in every 5 games, but long term I feel like I've gotten my starters at a 20% clip.
