What would you do with the stubs? Is there anybody on your team that you’d like but don’t have?
Yeah the other option I'm considering is selling Ruth which would get me more than enough stubs to pick up SS Sale
-
i love babe no errors so far but 1 i believe tons of games
i also love SS Sale would never give up on the squad - sale is more rare to see too easy to get both for ya
-
hits .500 for me in 200 AB
-
Keep!! He the best player in gm
-
sale is such a beast. randomized pitching hurts his value I think. I feel like babe hits a HR every game for me. I sold babe for sale and thought it was a good idea until I made WS a 2nd time picked babe and thought how could I sell this guy lol

Keep the BAMBINO!

Sale over Ruth imo

Every game player vs someone that you may get once in 15 games, Sale is also overrated, only 4 pitches, 3 when you have some people’s seeming unwillingness to throw 2 seamers in the game, pretty easy to hit off of.
-
It’s not so much a Ruth vs Sale.
Ruth and Williams are similar and having them both in an OF is putting yourself at a severe defensive disadvantage. Plus if you are buying Sale there are fewer of them so therefore the price will hold. So if you really don’t like him you can buy Ruth and have stubs left over.
In terms of pure performance Sale can make hitters look foolish. Mix all of his positions and don’t fall in love with the down and in slider. Throw that thing to all corners

I have Sale and haven't used Ruth. I'm sure Ruth's bat is insane, but his defense wouldn't hold on my roster. The downside to Sale is you really don't want to go more than 6 innings and 5 is even more ideal. On the randomization of starters, I feel it all balances out, you might not get a starter to go once in every 5 games, but long term I feel like I've gotten my starters at a 20% clip.
-
Well I've had Sale now for a good 15 games and haven't gotten him once so unfortunately not sure if I'll like him or not

That's a big investment for not being able to go 6+ innings maybe once every 15 games
Ruth's defense is fine.

I'm not saying you can't go more than that, honestly I probably don't let any of my starters go that long. Two times through the order is what I reasonably try to get through. Probably because the bullpen pieces offer a good change from the starter and I'm not exactly an elite player so all of my games are close.

Ruth’s defense is NOT good or OK. You could put probably 10 quality bats that have exponentially better defense in the OF. Ruth’s bat is special. Sale can go more than 6 easy. Just mix location and pay attention to confidence

I dunno I've been using ruth for this WS run and hes missed 1 ball over his head. his D isnt good but better than just ok. 64 speed is sneaky chasing down balls. my best hitter so far has been hornsby around .345. ruth after 100ABs is over 400 feel like he Homer's every game. best card in the game IMO
-
I'm on the fence as well.
Lately I've been playing with Ruth at left field, Griffey at center and Bellinger at right.
Babe has been batting amazing for me but I have Mays, Yelich and Trout on the bench as well. All have been batting great.
I suppose it's a positive problem to have so many valid options for the outfield, but it's a problem just the same.

It’s not about missing [censored]. He doesn’t make errors. But there are [censored] that Rickey, Gwynn, Cobb, Griffey, Dawson, Bellinger, Edmonds, Trout and a bunch of other guys you would put in instead of him Ruth would get to that Ruth can’t make plays on.
That being said I give Ruth or Williams regular play in the OF.
