I'll go ahead and say I'm not good at Showdown. Last year I gave up on it until July. Then I was able to beat them until the last two.
Last night was my third attempt and was down 15-10 when I started. Only managed to get 2 hits, 1 run, and lots of cursing over the Dodgers HOF defense and inability to do anything with Fernandos pitches.
Ok, ill just go 'get gud' now until the next server crash steals my time.

Fernando is a pain in the [censored]. It’s why I’m so mad I lost my win because the only reason I won was him walking everyone. I scored 7 runs in only 4 hits.

@Collin_SDS_PSN @Victor_SDS_PSN Any sort of response would be welcome. I put in a ticket a week ago for losing my showdown due to a crash and still Dead silence from support. I’d like to know before putting myself through the torture of doing it again if there are going to be adjustments or if you are basically going to ignore the issues and do nothing?

I actually don’t mind it. I know I am absolutely missing 35k from the showdown, but I’d also imagine I’m missing 50k+ from a combination of server crashes and do not tracking correctly so I’d be near 400k.
I’m just not happy that we are all being penalized because of what is essentially a broken game and especially unhappy that there has been absolutely zero communication about it from SDs anywhere whether on here, SM, or from support tickets.
Welcome to the Show. Been going on for years! Nothing will change until there is competition.

I just hit 650k today. Took some grinding but surprising not as hard as I thought to get all that XP. Grind conquest! If that does not suit you just play exhibition
i did 75% of the usa map last night, played like 20 games and i think i got 10k xp. i watched my last three games and went from 558k to 559k after the after game screen noted i was getting 3k per game. it definitely is not counting it all.

Yep. I actually don’t mind it. I also know though that I am easily kidding over 100k xp right now between my 1st inning showdown not counting and the errors adding up xp.
It’s why I think, given the program is ending in 4 days or so, why a response to what they are going to do is a priority and why I wish @collin_sds_MLBTS and @Victor_SDS_PSN would at the very least acknowledge they are looking into the issue.
There has been literally zero communication from SDS in regards to this.

OP didn't call showdown hard? OP lost due to a server error and having to redo something because the controlling party is failing to make fixes is incredibly irritating.
All SDS has done is refreshed their Twitter post every night and they do not respond to the community. SDS utilizes the hush hush system of communication and its incredibly frustrating. The community wants answers and we aren't getting any.
I'm pretty fortunate to be transferring jobs which has given me a few weeks off, so I was able to finish the 1st inning, but it has been disappointing to wake up each morning to read the same Twitter post refreshed and no explanation as to what is happening.
Part of me wonders how much fixing is happening v just hitting reset on the traffic filled servers. Are they crossing their fingers that the player population dwindles down? We don't know because SDS remains silent.

They aren't screwing me over. I've spent money on way dumber stuff than a game haha. I guess people just take things different ways.. I look at it like this. They will most likely get it fixed soon and give people some free stuff or they won't. And I'm ok with either of those things. And just for context, I own the DD version for series X and PS5. And i put $300 extra into it. I am very hopeful they fix it so I can play but you can't take it so personal or hard. They want NOTHING more than to give us a polished amazing smooth running game. It makes them a lot of money. Why wouldn't they want that??

I have to say as a NMS player with limited time, missing out on a program is a pretty big blow. If SDS decides to take the stance its not worth making good to us for it, its just one more reason to give up on '21 early and that means less chance I buy '22.
It really costs them nothing to do it, I don't see why they wouldn't try to amend this.

Thanks for coming in and flexing! We aren’t all pros like you and beating it is a giant pain, and a lot of us would love to not do it again because we lost credit due to server issues.
Try to be very patient. The cpu will almost always throw a pitch right down the middle eventually. Also it helps to run their pitch count up. It gets easier. To your original question I wound not count on them to give u anything. Get the rest of the XP yourself. I'm sure we'll all get 3 regular packs for the inconvenience. Lol
