R2 when batting abusers
-
SMH r2 before every pitch. Why do people play like this
-
Usually when I do that noticeably, it is because my opponent is on methamphetamines and is pitching like a tommygunner.
-
What does the R2 button do?
-
I feel like you should get one R2 per at bat for a preset amount of time
-
At least this year it shows an icon when the morons are abusing it

Shows you previous pitches and locations. Doesn’t allow opponent to pitch until it is released. Akin to a player asking ump for time while they get set in the box.

I have a tendency to quick pitch, so I understand people using r2 to get me to slow down sometimes and it usually works.
It's the guys who hold it for ages trying to disrupt your windup that annoy me.

Yeah. It doesn’t typically throw me off. I understand though. I just wanna look at pitch speeds and repertoire often sometimes especially if someone has me guessing!

What does it matter how fast your opponent is pitching? What you doing, mediating between pitches? Games long enough.
Its funny because the same dudes who do this when you hold r2 back on them they stop holding R2. Guess not being delayed in your pitches is worth more than delaying the other guy because “he’s pitching too fast”.

Yeah, those guys really deserve a horrible fate for that. It’s satisfying to beat them, if you can avoid throwing them meatballs because of the R2 holding. Sometimes I’ll just step off if I can.
-
I do it to see previous at bat pitch locations and if the guy is quick pitching.
-
It only annoys me if I pick my pitch and I’m about to start my motion with pinpoint. It’s messed up a lot of my pitches and they end up right down the middle because if they let go of R2 quick enough it continues your motion. I think once the pitch is selected it needs to not allow R2 to work.
