Half of the fan base are geezers with families and jobs who have to play early in the morning before work and before everyone wakes up and all hell brakes loose. This is my morning meditation and I’m in SF.

I beat the showdown yesterday and the server counted it as a loss. How is that me being bad? How is a baserunner disappearing me being bad.

Hope more than maintenance is being done. Maintaining this level of server stability is not a good thing.

Pushing it to more of the middle of the night instead of first thing in the morning on the east coast would be better in my opinion.
Sure, but surely they have data to back up their maintenance times? It used to be at 6am eastern for years. They just recently pushed it back to 7. I'm willing to bet this game has more late night West coasters playing than early morning east coasters. And the fact that SDS is west coast themselves they are always going to run on a west coast schedule

I have not defended the server issues. I simply said yesterday that the disappearing baserunners "glitch" was avoidable

Find a new time... not everyone in the US is on Pacific coast time. Try midnight your time lol
I would hope that they have years worth of data and know exactly when the player base is at it's lowest and that they choose that time to update the servers.
There is absolutely no time that they could choose that would make everyone happy.

@the_dragon1912 if they have data to back up that 7am EST is when the least number of users then I will concede that they are making the best decision. Being one of the people that plays at that time it's frustrating but if it gets the game to run consistently I can live with it for a few weeks

I would assume that is the case or else it is stupid, you are correct. You gotta realize that a good majority of gamers, especially online gamers, are younger than 30. At 7am eastern most of the playerbase is either sleeping, Getting ready for school, or getting up to work. I personally don't care about getting a few conquest games in before going into work at 8. Yeah people that wake up and play before work, getting on after working a night shift, and European players get screwed, but it is what it is. This community may seem like it's full of dudes that are 30+, married with kids etc. but that's just because almost all players in that demographic use the forums regularly. There is nothing wrong with being in that demographic either, it just isn't the target audience for game developers anymore sadly
