The hitting engine was so great... so great. I was having the most fun I’ve ever had playing The Show.
Why did you change hitting? Because a couple little pissbabies couldn’t shut their mouths for once and be satisfied with the state of the game? It was great. I don’t care that game scores were up. Hitting felt so rewarding. A squared-up ball was hit hard and a perfect-perfect ball was hit even harder.
Now you’d be lucky to get an exit velo over 100 on a perfect swing... and that’s with some of the best hitters in the game. Hitting has never felt so unrewarding. It’s so frustrating.
On behalf of all the community, I am begging you to change the hitting back to what it was pre-patch. It was perfect the way it was.

Yeah, they shouldn't have nerfed hitting lol that was the bright spot of the game. They should have left hitting alone and fixed pitching and fielding.

Doesnt matter. As great as Gred Maddux, Bob Gibson, Feller, Kershaw were They would flat out get rocked by a full lineup of hall of famers in real life

they would find a way to compete and dominate thats why there the best of the best. Glavine & maddux dominated in the most hitter dominate era they were regularly facing great hitters.

Oh greatZ I haven’t tried it today. Hitting was fine, if I missed a swing it was normally an out if I hit it perfect or good it was a high hit chance..... I dread turning on my machine now. Past years 3-2 games were awful, I don’t like the 19-17 type games all the time, but 2-0 games are just as bad.
The reason it was like that now is because pitching input is worthless and there are only a few decent pitchers to use right now. If they fixed pitching and fielding the game would have been better.....Instead they apparently take the only bright spot and make it as bad as the two broken ones

Yeah but they were ony facing 2-3 great hitters/ steroid users per team. If you hypothetically put the best player of all time at each position in a lineup againt Grex Maddux, he will obviously do better than almost any other pitcher, but he is likely getting tagged for 5+ runs a game

thats on you I have a rotation of 2 diamonds and the rest golds and its the same story. If they want to keep pitch speeds at were its currently at then something else must be done. Im not saying hitting shouldnt be rewarding but it also shouldnt be this easy.

I don’t think you understand... a baseball doesn’t care who threw or who hit it. If it’s barrelled up, it should be hit hard. If my Nolan Ryan throws a meatball right down the pipe and Hunter Renfroe turns on it, it should be destroyed. If you make a bad pitch, that’s on you. RNG shouldn’t be there to save you every time.

I think they are going to do everything they can before upping pitch speeds or fixing pitching controls.. Imo they want as many ppl possible to consistently cacth up to a heater

Actually, 15-13 games are pretty common place. All last season ( and really the last 8 season) everyone was saying how the ball was juiced. Forcing a simulation where every game is 6-5 is not baseball.
