Its sad how many entitled whiny kids there are commenting on this game. This is a great game. Are the servers being [censored]? Yes....Were there thousands upon thousands of new players playing the game cause its on a new system? Yes. Dude the fact that I bought a PS5 has nothing to do with how MLB the Show launched. First off when you spend essentially $130 on a game $80 it doesn't matter how much you spend but the fact that you spend money in a game the game should work not be mostly broken. Secondly the PS5 is actually really good quality I've never complained once about it neither have I complained about the PS4 or the PS3 the PS2 or the PS5 fact is when someone buys something they should get the product that's advertised not a buggy mess hence and I'll be the show

They are working on it, we just have to be patient.

For most people it’s not even the servers. It’s the fact the only way to progress through RTTS doesn’t work.

Well bro I don't think it's going to go that far. It's really just about not allowing these companies to get away with [censored] more than anything if we allow this to continue more and more companies will continue to do it we don't speak up as a consumer it's all about consumer right and practices my friend I guess maybe you have never heard of that maybe you should look it up before you get into an argument about stuff like this or a debate whatever you want to call this
I have heard about consumer rights, this is a server issue, 3 days after the full launch, hiccups are expected. I also know that the end user agreement everyone skims through typically covers the company in situations like this. So unless the game either doesn’t launch on your console at all or bricks it, you’re going to have a hard time arguing your consumer rights.

O boy 🤨 it's not a hiccup they should have saw it coming a mile away it launched the same way last year and there was half the amount of players so what did they think was going to happen. And no not really legally I could say that I didn't get the product that was advertised on the grounds that it's a faulty product server problem or not it's still a problem with the product

This is the attitude that allows companies to have bad practices. If this was the first time this has happened, I would say this is bad but things will get better but this is as yearly as the game itself. That's why people are upset and they have every right to be upset. It's also a 2 way street, no one is saying you need to come into the threads and talk about how people are complaining. Just move along, it'll all work out soon and there won't be as many complainers, you just have to have patience.
Oh horsecrap! It is not a yearly thing where every mode is effected! It's usually the online modes only and it is usually resolved after 2nd day! This year was different and you know it!
Covid slowed development which was part of the cause for late release, then throw in MLB forcing them to offer it on multiple platforms, oh yeah and coding for 3 platforms they never worked on before. So enough with all the blame SDS they have a big fanbase why? Because 9/10 times the gameplay is superb aside from first hiccups.
So yeah i personally gave them a pass before it even launched b/c of the aforementioned. But if you don't want to acknowlege that's on you but don't sit there and tell me how the game has been like this every year when i've played and pre-orderd for last 11 or 12 years.
And i never once said people shouldn't be upset b/c that's not up to me to decide how someone else feels. And the same goes for you! You don't have the right to tell me what attitude i can or can't have toward a company.
If i want to come into the forums and voice my opinion i can! I paid the same $100 everyone else did! You are just butthurt cause i slap you around with facts and common sense! Ok please show where I said you cannot have attitude one way or the other? I said that is the attitude that causes companies to produce stuff that doesn't work properly at launch. If this year is so different then why have they given compensation 3 different times? Why was it in 17 that games would go into the queue and be lost forever? Why was it that in a couple of other games that things didn't track properly and took them more than a month to fix it? Every year there is stability issues with the servers, that is a fact that you like to throw out there. Just because you can play a different mode, why should they get a pass year after year when it's the same issue over and over?
On top of that, why does it have to be a disaster like this at all when there is a track record of it being screwed up? Because road to the Show or March to October work fine but other parts of the game don't so that's ok when diamond dynasty is the 2nd biggest played part of the game and the major reason a massive chunk of the fan base is buying it is for that reason but yeah, just go play a different mode, have patience? What a stupid thing to say. Your don't like people complaining, fine, dont read the threads, simple stuff. Is this year different? With covid and Xbox, yes it's different but you know what the funny thing is? It's the same issues from 3 years ago when there was no Xbox. So again, why should they get a pass for pushing a product that doesn't work correctly?

Its sad how its the amateurs and casual players and online DD noobs are the ones complaining and infesting the forums cause they down understand the underlining mechanics of the game...2021 is a great improvement over 2020 for solo play cause that's all I play. You would think the fact SDS choose to make two modes, Arcade and Simulation it would give these newbies a way to play their pick up arcade game would satisfy them but no, they still have to complain. Yes, the game isn't perfect, fastball pitch speeds could be a little faster even on Legend at Pitch speeds maxed, and some of missed ground balls which are blatant errors are being called a hit but maybe this would be realized and it will be patched in later.

It doesn't matter if they want us to be okay with it. What matters is that they have not fixed it a week after early access and four days after launch. If they did not expect us to be ok with it there would be some actual communication. Which there is not. They are doing something that would not be tolerated in any other industry but because it is just a video game and the industry has gone to [censored], they get away with it.

That is the problem. That we have come to expect that games will be broken days after launch. Companies should not be ok with releasing broken games. If the game is not stable in time for launch then it should not be released. It is that simple. It is a consumer rights issue. Just because they have the right to treat the consumer like [censored], doesn't mean they should. I have the right to walk around spewing racial slurs. It doesn't make it right for me to do so.

RTTS and MTO definitely do not work fine. I agree with everything else though.

I agree with what your saying. Only problem I have is SDS should have anticipated the traffic on their servers. I wouldn’t compare it to COD though. They have way higher traffic and it’s a different company designing it every year unlike the show.

RTTS the solo career mode is broken to the point of being unplayable. MTO, a solo mode is broken to the point that it erases your progress. Franchise, a solo mode crashes if you try to load in real rosters. I don't think this is a better solo game than the one in 2020 that actually worked.

They have a pinned thread dedicated to the server stability issue, they have provided updates and the progress of fixes, for SDS thats a lot of communication. You think SDS wants us to just be ok with this? So they pinned a dedicated thread to give updates on the progress of the fixes, and for all of you to go [censored] and whine about the servers in, because they just dont see a problem and want us all to be ok with the issues. Jesus christ
It doesn't matter if they want us to be okay with it. What matters is that they have not fixed it a week after early access and four days after launch. If they did not expect us to be ok with it there would be some actual communication. Which there is not. They are doing something that would not be tolerated in any other industry but because it is just a video game and the industry has gone to [censored], they get away with it.
They have a pinned thread dedicated to the server stability issue, they have provided updates and the progress of fixes, for SDS thats a lot of communication. Do you expect them to personally answer every angry rant about the server issues? Because they could but nothing would get fixed because they would be to busy apologizing to and trying to comfort all the victims of this egregious crime.
No, but I expect them to give me an update as to why my game is still broken a week after the problem occurred. All RTTS got was "we will maybe fix it in the future at some point." It has been 5 days since that post. No update or fix. I would like someone telling me why the game I paid for is still broken and when I can expect to play it.

This is the attitude that allows companies to have bad practices. If this was the first time this has happened, I would say this is bad but things will get better but this is as yearly as the game itself. That's why people are upset and they have every right to be upset. It's also a 2 way street, no one is saying you need to come into the threads and talk about how people are complaining. Just move along, it'll all work out soon and there won't be as many complainers, you just have to have patience.
Oh horsecrap! It is not a yearly thing where every mode is effected! It's usually the online modes only and it is usually resolved after 2nd day! This year was different and you know it!
Covid slowed development which was part of the cause for late release, then throw in MLB forcing them to offer it on multiple platforms, oh yeah and coding for 3 platforms they never worked on before. So enough with all the blame SDS they have a big fanbase why? Because 9/10 times the gameplay is superb aside from first hiccups.
So yeah i personally gave them a pass before it even launched b/c of the aforementioned. But if you don't want to acknowlege that's on you but don't sit there and tell me how the game has been like this every year when i've played and pre-orderd for last 11 or 12 years.
And i never once said people shouldn't be upset b/c that's not up to me to decide how someone else feels. And the same goes for you! You don't have the right to tell me what attitude i can or can't have toward a company.
If i want to come into the forums and voice my opinion i can! I paid the same $100 everyone else did! You are just butthurt cause i slap you around with facts and common sense! Ok please show where I said you cannot have attitude one way or the other? I said that is the attitude that causes companies to produce stuff that doesn't work properly at launch. If this year is so different then why have they given compensation 3 different times? Why was it in 17 that games would go into the queue and be lost forever? Why was it that in a couple of other games that things didn't track properly and took them more than a month to fix it? Every year there is stability issues with the servers, that is a fact that you like to throw out there. Just because you can play a different mode, why should they get a pass year after year when it's the same issue over and over?
On top of that, why does it have to be a disaster like this at all when there is a track record of it being screwed up? Because road to the Show or March to October work fine but other parts of the game don't so that's ok when diamond dynasty is the 2nd biggest played part of the game and the major reason a massive chunk of the fan base is buying it is for that reason but yeah, just go play a different mode, have patience? What a stupid thing to say. Your don't like people complaining, fine, dont read the threads, simple stuff. Is this year different? With covid and Xbox, yes it's different but you know what the funny thing is? It's the same issues from 3 years ago when there was no Xbox. So again, why should they get a pass for pushing a product that doesn't work correctly?

Berating someone, naming calling and personal insults are uncalled for.
I think about the phrase “the customer is always right.” And examine that.
Are customers right to name call, insult etc. etc.? No that is not right. Now, does a customer have a right to complain when a service that was paid for is not working to the full potential it should? Yes. Yes the customer can and should say something.
If you’re playing the game on game pass, step back a little — MLB TS is a fraction of the games made available. For those that paid $80+ for early access or $60+ for the game, they have a pretty good gripe to express.
Every morning, since Tuesday, the game has been down for maintenance from 6am-9/10am CST and slows down from noon until about 9pm CST. There are people who have purchased this game who have yet to get online and as a result they’re losing XP opportunities, dailies, and time to complete the first inning challenge.
It doesn’t help that SDS has been very silent when it comes to communicating with the community about issues and how they’re being addressed. (Basically A tweet here or there)
Some customers maybe wrong in how they express their frustration, and the customer has a right to express frustration when a producer does not fulfill what was promised to the paying customer.
