Nothing else that requires servers in 2021 has gone down for more than a few hours or a day. So every other company that requires servers to do business has figured out a way to get it done.

Pretty sure the servers are down for maintenance this morning... not sure how long they are supposed to be down but at least they are trying. Worked alright for me last night for several consecutive hours.
I played for a good 3-4 hours maybe longer yesterday morning with no issues. Then when the issues started it was only after I finished a game and I was still credited with the win and rewards that was in the evening playing CQ.

What major company has had this level of server problems? I'm not talking about the local middle school or some mom and pop operation in Texarkana. Imagine if online banks, or online retailers, or streaming services, or food delivery services, or schools were just shut down for a couple days bc of servers. I haven't seen it

They do all the time. Just because it doesn't always effect you doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Literally Sony has had it happen multiple times in the past few years alone. It happens and its almost always when something first releases. Be patient or go get your money back and quit clogging up the feed for people interested in the game
