I don’t think that’s entirely true. I had Lou last year and never made WS
yeah i mean i'm not going to argue with you over something so stupid - conquest extreme / going to WS / getting a flawless BR = all in the top levels of playing in this game

If this is on veteran im black... They throw maybe 30% strikes and the strikes they do throw are inside fastballs that are incredibly hard to hit... You also hit a ton of warning track shots with people like joey gallo with 110 power. I don't care that its hard but labeling it as "Veteran" is absurd when the CPU is the best player to touch the sticks ever
Don't fret, last year with 125 power Trout and Tatis, with perfect perfect flyball hits, I had multiple warning track shots. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

Well it’s just not accurate anymore. When conquest Extreme was still conquest extreme sure, but you could restart infinite times last year and the moments are playable till you compete them. It used to be a 20 hour grind that you could need to restart, not just click “restart” and keep all progress.

yeah i never had to restart anything - [censored] was hard last year - that kenley jensen mission was super tough from what i remember

This year is so much easier. I’m on run #6 today, haven’t failed one yet. Be picky of what you swing at.

im afraid they are going to patch it lol
its been a breeze so far - trying to get as many 42's done before it gets tougher

Showdown was an absolute joke last year and nothing has changed this year. The mode is designed to take your stubs and waste your time. Your team can mash all the way to the final showdown and then they just hit lame pop ups even you you square up and your timing is perfect.

This thread is making me feel better about my game. I didn’t think I was all that good (usually get to the low 800’s in RS once a year or something), but I’m rolling through these Showdowns. Stumbled my first 2 efforts, but I’ve won like 10 in a row since, all relatively easily. It’s pretty easy to get at least 8 runs heading into the final boss, some of which are basically given to you (like “don’t give up a hit”).

Exactly. I’ll get to three balls, usually obvious balls, and then they’ll uncork some slider that looks like it’s coming way inside, only to dot the black.

I’ve only failed one, and it was bc I could not touch dibbles fastball for some reason waaay late over and over . The other times I played him I’d win in two or three at bats so I don’t know what happened lol

It is definitly not veteran. I play a lot of conquest on veteran, and this is WAY WAY more like two levels up from veteran.

Yeah, I truly don’t get how people complain about it. It was always an easy mode, and this year it’s a complete joke. Well, so far anyway, I’m sure they’ll be adding more difficult showdowns. It’s my favorite way to grind those team affinity programs.

they did the same thing last year where showdown was nearly impossible early then everyone complained and they made them extremely easy.

i just picked Gallo he looks so sick for LF at the moment - im now going to aim for Perez at C ?!?!

Biggest tip I’ve saw was to take exit velocity perks & use all of those in showdown. The ball flies off the bat. Don’t have to worry about outs at the wall
