Great job ruining the only reason i buy this game

Whos brilliant idea was it to change RTTS so drastically? You want to shake things up and make changes? Cool. But you scrapped the entire pre-draft, i cant make multiple characters, and i have loadouts now? Am i playing baseball or Call of Duty?
RTTS has always been all about creating a player and simulating a career. Its about immersion. Now i can drastically change all of my physical abilities between every game just like the real MLB players. You really nailed that one.
The players asked for more predraft flexibility in earning our draft spot and our team. High school games, college games, showcase games, etc. Instead it gets completely scrapped? Why?
Most players liked making multiple players to simulate the career of a pitcher, a catcher, and a fielder. Now i can only make one player who cant be a catcher but can play literally every other position flawlessly? I can go from a power hitting first baseman to a speedy center fielder to a starting pitcher between each game. Totally immersive.
I saw an interview saying this is the first step in RTTSs new direction. I hope you guys second guess that idea because youre going to lose a lot of loyal fans. Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to seriously reevaluate what sort of games they should be working on.

Yeah from a realism immersion standpoint they really screwed the pooch on this one. Well, in general they really screwed the pooch on this one seeing as how it more than halfway through release day and I still can't play the mode because progression is broken.

We don't want the mode to be connected to DD. People in DD will never use the " Ballplayer " anyway. We can only make one player which can get stale very fast. The loadouts aren't very fun just let us progress our player as we play. What is so bad about gaining attributes by playing RTTS? Forced to be online to play is also a baffling decision so when the servers go off in 2 years the mode will be completely unplayable if you go to revisit the game or keep playing it. Also can't play when your servers go out or when our internet goes out. The progression system isn't very good when it works which it doesn't most of the time unfortunately. You are forced to play DD to progress your player currently because that is the only way the " programs " will track missions and stats. Also every time you go into loadouts it glitches out your gear and you have to switch everything back. Like it will give you just one batting glove put the foot guard back on forced sunglasses on always instead of when just fielding and much more including swing types when you have a built stance it can be very frustrating to have to fix it just because you went to the loadout screen to check " programs " progress. So please SDS just make RTTS like you used to for next years game. We want to be able to make multiple characters, not be connected to DD, and just gain attributes from playing not this " perk/architype " system.

Everything you said was spot on, but the two way player thing is a good idea cause me personally don't like having to make a new character every time I want to change a position. Everything from perks ruined the mode in my opinion. We now have to pay to play to get our attributes to the overall we want. We barley see a training points screen.

buddy I'm not the one complaining about what people post on a public forum. I'm sorry that all you want to do on here is talk about how great SDS is but obviously that's not a universally shared sentiment. if people want to make posts and be outspoken for their displeasure of the game they have the right to do that. the same way you have the right to blindly defend the game at every turn.

I agree with everything in the OP and hope to see more forum posts stating the same because that's how directions of games are changed, by the community forcing it.

As a guy who plays rtts for just playing with the player instead of for the story and sim I still agree that this year needs changes. The story is was worse and I don’t like that you don’t play in anything prior to getting drafted.

New to the game being from Xbox but based on how other posts have said RTTS worked before I really feel like I missed out and it regressed like base running aggression every time I play
