What did they do to RTTS?

finally spent some time with RTTS and Im all for making this mode more difficult than it has been in the past. the problem is you are backed into a corner to complete the ballplayer program in order to actually make your pro decent is ridiculous. Cant stand how greedy SDS is that they need to monetize every mode and tie everything into DD. Instead of improving on the mode, they literally changed nothing about it except the presentation stuff and this garbage loadout system

The loadout idea has been their worst in a while. They should just make it like nba 2k mycareer with points to use and increase attributes how you want based on archtypes.

Most RTTS players do not play conquest so for us, we are very limited in how we can get items.

Also the fact that you have to go play conquest just to unlock things to play in an unrelated mode is ridiculous. also you failed to acknowledge the loadouts which are the most important thing to RTTS this year

Most RTTS players do not play conquest so for us, we are very limited in how we can get items.
I'm an RTTS player for 11 years cut my teeth on that mode. But plenty of free cards to go into DD and get stufff for RTTS. If you choose not to play a mode to get free stuff b/c you are soley RTTS then that is your problem. Not the definition of a monetized mode.

Obviously you have never played FIFA Ultimate Team. Not saying DD isn't pay to win but they give you a million more ways to no spend money and get the cards you want. In FIFA not only is there a billion cards and a billion "re-make" of each card, but they dont give you half the resources DD does to earn coins/stubs.

The most vital aspect of RTTS this year is the loadout cards and they are tied into DD with a price tag on them. Its literally a tactic to direct more people into DD which is their biggest money maker, simple logic. If you cant see that then idk what to tell you except to make sure to wipe your mouth when SDS is done with with you

I agree with everything you say here. I'm just not a fan of making every mode in the game run through DD. My gripe isnt about acquiring player cards, its that RTTS is now intertwined with DD for no other reason but an attempt to make more money

I think there is a line that needs drawn for interlacing RTTS with DD. Like Id love to earn XP in RTTS that goes towards my programs in DD and being able to earn Subs in RTTS as well. But I do agree that the loadouts are just another way to add things that weren't needed. If I wanted to figure out what loadout is best I would just Play Call of Duty...

no one is struggling you buffoon lmao. I never spend money on DD and I never will. My post has nothing to do with that. its that they "upgraded" a mode to include a flawed feature. Its unnecessary to have RTTS run through DD other than to make more money. Thats the problem I have.

The most vital aspect of RTTS this year is the loadout cards and they are tied into DD with a price tag on them. Its literally a tactic to direct more people into DD which is their biggest money maker, simple logic. If you cant see that then idk what to tell you except to make sure to wipe your mouth when SDS is done with with you

no one is struggling you buffoon lmao. I never spend money on DD and I never will. My post has nothing to do with that. its that they "upgraded" a mode to include a flawed feature. Its unnecessary to have RTTS run through DD other than to make more money. Thats the problem I have.

finally spent some time with RTTS and Im all for making this mode more difficult than it has been in the past. the problem is you are backed into a corner to complete the ballplayer program in order to actually make your pro decent is ridiculous. Cant stand how greedy SDS is that they need to monetize every mode and tie everything into DD. Instead of improving on the mode, they literally changed nothing about it except the presentation stuff and this garbage loadout system

I mean RTTS is literally tied fully into DD now. and DD is the most pay to win game mode in all of sports games. But I wouldn't expect you to understand bc all I see you post on here is just different statements defending everything SDS does
Obviously you have never played FIFA Ultimate Team. Not saying DD isn't pay to win but they give you a million more ways to no spend money and get the cards you want. In FIFA not only is there a billion cards and a billion "re-make" of each card, but they dont give you half the resources DD does to earn coins/stubs.
I agree with everything you say here. I'm just not a fan of making every mode in the game run through DD. My gripe isnt about acquiring player cards, its that RTTS is now intertwined with DD for no other reason but an attempt to make more money
I think there is a line that needs drawn for interlacing RTTS with DD. Like Id love to earn XP in RTTS that goes towards my programs in DD and being able to earn Subs in RTTS as well. But I do agree that the loadouts are just another way to add things that weren't needed. If I wanted to figure out what loadout is best I would just Play Call of Duty...
Agreed 100%. and lets be real other than the trash loadout system and not having the scout day, RTTS was not touched on at all.

Totally Agree. Added a couple generic podcast and MLB Network cut scenes and called it a day. Honestly I kinda liked the scout day. Thought they could make it even cooler by dropping you into a 3 game series at the College World Series or something. But that'd be too much fun added to the base game...
