you do know that the equipment and loadout cards that are pretty much required if you want your guy to be good are all on the market and going for thousands of stubs a piece. Literally the definition of monetized
You do realize you can get a Diamon bat, Diamond Shoes, Diamond socks just playing one conquest map? You have no clue stop it's a false statement.
Most RTTS players do not play conquest so for us, we are very limited in how we can get items.
I'm an RTTS player for 11 years cut my teeth on that mode. But plenty of free cards to go into DD and get stufff for RTTS. If you choose not to play a mode to get free stuff b/c you are soley RTTS then that is your problem. Not the definition of a monetized mode.

Obviously you have never played FIFA Ultimate Team. Not saying DD isn't pay to win but they give you a million more ways to no spend money and get the cards you want. In FIFA not only is there a billion cards and a billion "re-make" of each card, but they dont give you half the resources DD does to earn coins/stubs.

The most vital aspect of RTTS this year is the loadout cards and they are tied into DD with a price tag on them. Its literally a tactic to direct more people into DD which is their biggest money maker, simple logic. If you cant see that then idk what to tell you except to make sure to wipe your mouth when SDS is done with with you

I agree with everything you say here. I'm just not a fan of making every mode in the game run through DD. My gripe isnt about acquiring player cards, its that RTTS is now intertwined with DD for no other reason but an attempt to make more money

I think there is a line that needs drawn for interlacing RTTS with DD. Like Id love to earn XP in RTTS that goes towards my programs in DD and being able to earn Subs in RTTS as well. But I do agree that the loadouts are just another way to add things that weren't needed. If I wanted to figure out what loadout is best I would just Play Call of Duty...

no one is struggling you buffoon lmao. I never spend money on DD and I never will. My post has nothing to do with that. its that they "upgraded" a mode to include a flawed feature. Its unnecessary to have RTTS run through DD other than to make more money. Thats the problem I have.

Totally Agree. Added a couple generic podcast and MLB Network cut scenes and called it a day. Honestly I kinda liked the scout day. Thought they could make it even cooler by dropping you into a 3 game series at the College World Series or something. But that'd be too much fun added to the base game...

I don't want to play any modes other than RTTS and Franchise, and the concept of RTTS this year is ridiculous. Instead of progressing your PLAYER you progress your EQUIPMENT? I guess Tatis just got a new bat last season and called it a day? Or did he develop his skills between the 2019 season... It's a moronic concept defended by moronic people.

Well said. And I completely agree. I've been playing this title for ~10 years now. More than 90% of my play time has been in RTTS with a small amount of dabbling in Franchise. I just won't play DD - have no interest in it at all. I skipped 2020 but thought I'd give the title a try this year. And I am tremendously disappointed in the RTTS game this year.
SDS has managed to take a mode that not too long ago was, imo, one of the most fun things to do in gaming and turn it into an absolute piece of garbage. And now that they've incorporated this universal loadout system and changed skill scaling so that you absolutely need gear and yet at the same time have broken the mechanism by which said gear can be earned. Truly disappointing game at this point.

We don't want the mode to be connected to DD. People in DD will never use the " Ballplayer " anyway. We can only make one player which can get stale very fast. The loadouts aren't very fun just let us progress our player as we play. What is so bad about gaining attributes by playing RTTS? Forced to be online to play is also a baffling decision so when the servers go off in 2 years the mode will be completely unplayable if you go to revisit the game or keep playing it. Also can't play when your servers go out or when our internet goes out. The progression system isn't very good when it works which it doesn't most of the time unfortunately. You are forced to play DD to progress your player currently because that is the only way the " programs " will track missions and stats. Also every time you go into loadouts it glitches out your gear and you have to switch everything back. Like it will give you just one batting glove put the foot guard back on forced sunglasses on always instead of when just fielding and much more including swing types when you have a built stance it can be very frustrating to have to fix it just because you went to the loadout screen to check " programs " progress. So please SDS just make RTTS like you used to for next years game. We want to be able to make multiple characters, not be connected to DD, and just gain attributes from playing not this " perk/architype " system.
