How do normal people get a PS5

There are a handful of Twitter accounts that tweet out each store/website's release dates. I followed them and ended up getting one after a few drops.

No issues. It was brand new and works fine. I haven’t played it much but logged into all my accounts, downloaded some games, made sure everything was good. Ready for the show now

I followed all the PS5 restock alerts on Twitter and ended up getting 2. Gave the 2nd one to a family member.
Just follow them on Twitter and turn on notifications.

I really can't believe you can't just put in an order with Sony Direct and just wait your turn in line to receive it! But noooo, that would be too easy lol.

Love seeing more and more people get their Ps5s. Word of caution though, the controllers drift after a few weeks.
Haven’t really noticed the stick drift but my X button is kinda spongy and my sons square button gets stuck sometimes.

I got a Xbox Series X and PS5. It wasn't that tough. Walked into Walmart and got the xbox and bought a PS5 bundle on gamestop.

If you want the bundle you can always get one, provided you're paying attention. It's only when you just want the console, especially the disc-less one, that things get tough. I've had mine for about a month, which took me three weeks to land from the time I went after it. The horror stories about trying to land a stand-alone are definitely true.

Venting time sorry in advance. Best buy restocking every friday; I get serious about looking for a next gen consoles the BB restock stop. Then when they start restocking again they drop on a Thursday!?! Really?

Got one a week before Xmas. Costco baby!!! Bots couldn’t buy them since you need a membership. Only way i could get my hands on one

Yea, with the natural shortages now I'm not so certain but I would imagine it would be easier if they started selling them in stores.

If you've gotten a PS5, how did you do it? And what is your address and work schedule?
Twitter. One of the pages I was following said that a store was going to drop at a certain time, but they didn't know which one, and the first link I opened was Costco and I got the bundle. I was lucky af too because I actually went to my local walmart at 3 am with my friend and we were off by 3 people to get one. I will note that I was spending all of my time during work and school to get one for a month. I ordered it in like early December I think.

I got extremely lucky. I assumed I had no chance at getting one so I wasn't even looking. I happened to walk by the electronics counter in Walmart and there was one sitting on the shelf behind the counter so I bought it.

I got a PS5 on the target website from a Twitter alert from some account I followed. It was pretty easy...I wasn't even very fast and was able to get it. Id say stock was available for five to ten minutes.
